Do the cruise ship atms have the euro or just US dollar? I am going on the NCL epic.

Normally everything is cruise card, then payment at end in ship's currency. That, no surprise, is US Dollars.

I was wondering about having money when in port? Is there safe ATM’s to use in port to get local currency? Thanks for the video, looking forward to my Mediterranean cruise!

@@rachelbaker7175 Interesting question. I was talking to bank security last week, and they said that fewer people than ever are now using cash and that the ATM's are a risk because so many have been compromised. This means a reader fitted in the slot to steal the information. These work best in tourist areas where people check their banks less. So, whereas we use ATMS locally and normally get local cash it is looking less safe. Athens, like most of that area use Euros so it is easy to have a stock of one currency. Even if dollars are accepted on land the rate is never good in a shop. We now have both a MONZO card for international purchase, and our phone is linked with a payment system and a PayPal app. Cash is dying, even though cash is still king in the market. Contactless is the future, it stops handling money that passes from hand to hand, and stops tax evasion. Does that waffle help.
