I can officially say that I have played both on m&kb and controller. One thing I will say is m&kb was harder to learn but once you did it is so satisfying. They’re entirely different with separate advantages and disadvantages, and developers have been using computer assistance not to make the game more “fair” (because just separating the lobbies would be the most fair) but because they want to have high player count on servers or have cross platform lobbies. Despite all of the on paper issues controller players say they have, 50/120 (almost half) of the ALGS competitors were on controller. That shouldn’t be possible if playing on controller is as bad as the controller players who beg for aim assist to not be removed say it is (“I can’t move and loot” “I can’t tap strafe” “I can’t wall jump” “I can’t control my recoil like you” “I can’t hold a door/pick up a teammate and reload” “I’m on 30 fps” “I have stick drift” “I can’t do long range” etc.)… the way a controller player makes it seem, playing apex as a pro, in a global series, on controller should be impossible, because in their opinion Controller has every mechanical disadvantage… yet so there are so many controller pros. And the only admitted advantage they have over a mnk player is computer assistance. Should I be able to plug in my driving wheel or my Hotas f16 joystick and have mega aimbot on apex legends? Would that make the game fair because I’m at a mechanical disadvantage? Should mnk Osu players compete against drawing pad osu players?

@@torvamessor1300 your wrong about the aim assist thing because I know for a fact that on games like overwatch and apex legends, if you have a xim such as a chronus or any similar device it allows you to keep the same settings like any normal console player would also (AIM ASSIST) so why wouldn’t you be able to use aim assist with something that was quite literally made to be a cheat??? I don’t know ab over watch or R6 but everything else it’s a hell nah. Also a zim and chronus are two totally different things. Chronus runs scripts and shit which is literally cheating but a zim just allows you to use a MnK on console.

The only game I use M&K for is WarThunder because you gain a large amount of functions that you couldn’t use on controller. You just can’t do the hundreds of features using a controller. I spent years using controller then when I filled my weird key bind combination to the point it took so long to do the combo I would die, I finally switched to M&K

Back in year 1, i met a bunch of players through high elo diamond matches. Had 2 different groups i played with. In one of those groups we had a teammate who played on a xim.. lemme tell ya, he wasnt on top leaderboard very often. But that also makes me concerned about people who use a xim who are a lot more skilled than he was. He played like a plat, but had just enough edge over with movement and precision.

Then it's fine. If the game allows it natively, like CoD and Fortnite, it's perfectly okay. Most of the time they'll put you in PC lobbies. But R6 doesn't allow it, and you have to buy a third party adapter to use MnK on console

I used a Xim for about 2 years, used it for CoD WWII, Destiny and Crossout. Any game with strong aim assist makes it janky as fuck. It doesn't make you a god, but it did enable me to use a weapon with slow bullet velocity on a fast vehicle on Crossout, which was the best thing about it. Sold it then moved to PC after I scored a 3080 on release.
