TiborasaurusRex did a tracking test review of this scope with one of his most accurate rifles and it tracked 100% over and over again. He is a deadly accurate shot and and the rounds keyholes many times. He is not a calibrated machine but damn close to it. He couldn't believe his eyes cause of where it is made. REX is a german glass/turret snob and high recommended this scope

Why a time limit between shots to test tracking?! That seems counterproductive to the purpose to me.

So true he backwards on the the shot test with his scope rings as well😂

If I ever needed to use 32 mils of windage adjustment, I'd just go home.

LOL....I was thinking the same thing. In Florida that might be a hurricane.

Your rings are reversed those are 20 moa rings the scope should point down not up like a ramp! That is hilarious! I was interested in the test till I seen that leave the shooting to some else my friend should be atleast 3 shot group and they should be close to touching atleast .5 moa that tracking test made this scope look very undesirable which is not what I’ve been hearing it’s supposed to track well the rest of test seem good just leave the shooting to some else my friend! Also you might test scope shadow chromatic aberration and eye box test all important stuff well to me and my friends anyway! Not bashing just trying to help! Appreciate your work!

U r never get any kind of consistency with a $30 bipod. That thing was wobbling all over the place. Rather than buy an expensive device to check the turret tracking get a decent bipod. Also you need to use some kind of toe support. For these reasons alone ur test doesn't warrant any conclusive evidence of the quality or performance of this scope. Btw, a vortex razor is a decent scope but certainly not tier one level.

So the vertical test on the turret tracking had nothing to do with the bipod or shooting the gun at all, it wasn't mounted on the gun when the test was done, the scope was mounted on a rail by itself, then tracked at 0 Mil, 2 Mil, etc all the way up the range. The shooting part of the tracking test was just a simple box test that doesn't actually factor into the final score much. As for the Vortex Razor HD Gen II, I respectfully disagree. It tracks perfectly, the glass passes all the optical quality tests, and it's more feature rich than the majority of scopes out there. What else would you add to it to make it a tier one scope?

Maybe if you used match ammo? I know who am I for talking but I'm just trying to give you something that my help your video. Keep it up I'll look for 9ther videos.

1 mil is 10 cm. So if you put the target at 100m in stead of 100 years in will give more accurate data. If you're on moa you can use yards.

I enjoy how you did this test, however, im viewing this on my phone and for the life of me i cant read what is on the spreadsheets. Also, when showing the tracking scores and such, you didn't show the scores of the Razor next to it to show a benchmark. That would've put the tracking test in a better perspective because less than 1% deviation is what we are looking for and when you say it scored around 86%, that was a bit alarming to me.
@bluelineoptics11265 жыл бұрын
Yes, two things there: I am going to start doing the spreadsheets as a bigger close up version. And after doing more tests, I've discovered a better way for scoring the tracking off these tests, which I'm going to implement in the future. I'll be remaking this video, along with the other ones to reflect the test that more accurately reflects the performance of scopes. That being said, if the data was big enough, you could see the spreadsheet results from the results, which show a less than 1% deviation on the tracking tests. I'm going to post a link to those spreadsheets here on the test in a bit.

Bought one a few months ago. Taking it out this Saturday to smack some steel out to 1000 yrs. My windage knob doesn't line up on mine. Will probably send it in sometime to get that fixed. Any suggestions.

Yeah we could help point you in the right direction. When you say the windage knob doesn't line up, what do you mean exactly?
