Glad it was helpful! You’re going to want to use it in a dim room or sunset and after daylight to be able to see or appreciate the image. It’s VERY bright when it’s dark, but you won’t be able to see much in a well lit room or when the sun is still bright.

Android TV is barebones in Apps and will be for some time. But for Prime, Netflix and KZbin and Pluto TV, it's fine and built into one unit. You can also ask basic commands through the remote on the projector. Like what is the Temp in ???? city state, today? Assuming it is on WIFI and not offline\Off grid playing downloads. And Dude Get a better Phone with hotspot capability and unlimited data? Nope. and distance to router is no problem because it's not needed. Also did not say that it was a 5GHz device AC wireless and not a 802.11 B device. Kids. and buy a nice Newell Diesel pusher for peats sake. Projector no longer needed. Joking. Have fun. Live it well. But by far the best review young man.

since it runs Android you should be able to sideload the Chrome apk or any other browser for Android Tv or even from a usb drive connected to it

The app availability issue is entirely the fault of the app. It's an issue related to them manually approving manufacturers for their DRM (Digital rights management). In theory to stop people using software to pirate their content. It's very dumb because obviously it doesn't stop that. Netflix being the big one, they are the slowest to approve manufacturers, especially Asian brands. Sometimes it seems like they literally chose to never update their approved device lists. Prime Video can also be an issue, but they seem to be a bit quicker, for example they have recently added XGIMI's projectors but hadn't originally.

Just bought mine yesterday and wanted to ask if your unit has a grainy / noisy image especially during dark scenes. It's visible on my unit even when just navigating the Android TV UI.

If you get close to the image (on a wall for instance), I can always see kind of a grainy shimmer. However, in practice, it’s never something that seems to detract from the image quality when we’re watching something. I think that’s just part of the projector tech, and coming from some others in this price range, the image is 10x better at least

Oh ok. I'm already in talk with support. Just wanted to confirm as my previous projector does not seem to have that issue. Might be the brightness as my old one was only rated at 300 ANSI lumens (Acer K130). Great content btw. :)

this was a great review! have you noticed an issue with the auto focus? after about 45 min-1 hr it seems to go slightly out of focus, enough i can't really read the titles of youtube videos when i'm browsing. i've seen it in another amazon review, and i didn't think it would be a big deal but it is kinda annoying

Not especially on my end - it’s stayed pretty sharp. I know if you bump it while it’s playing it’ll refocus, so maybe that would help?

I had the same issue with my Xgimi CC Aurora. The focus kept shifting and needed constant re-focussing. In the end I sold it.

This projector gets the job done pretty well. kzbin.infoUgkxS9P8zTOcmQg-hH0QeUi3dspOLyYgQ6dH Bear in mind it's a mini projector but all things considered the picture quality is pretty good. The attached photo is of the projector projecting onto my white closet doors. I still have not messed with the settings but I can't wait for our first family movie night on a larger scale. If you have issues with volume not working with your firestick, go into volume settings and you will find your solution there.
