Maybe an option for the dog put a post in the yard and attach his leash so he could be outside but still not able to run away? Maybe paint around the edge of the counter top? I just want to say how much I admire you. You are a nurse and a cook and an accepting and loving mother. You are blessed to have a husband with a sense of humor and a work ethic that has him continuing on into retirement. It will be fun to watch you develop your little farm. Please start out slow. We have quail, chickens, a decorative goose, an ornery duck, 12 Nigerian dwarf goats 5 dogs and 1 cat. In Alaska, that means a lot of heated watering systems right now. Yay for Milo!!

🙋‍♀️Hey Valerie from South La. Next time you do this try making your sauce the day before & marinate your chicken overnight then bake it. It'll be a big hit with the guys. Do you ever make a homemade vegetable beef soup for those cold nights? Don't throw the celery, especially the leafy part, it has so much flavor, & you can add it to the soup. I make a wonderful soup that will have you going back for seconds. The cabinets look so much better, it brightens up the room.😊

We love wings too with rice and a salad.I've marinated my meat,wings or chicken thighs in Italian salad dressing in a zip lock bag.I'll turn it over every few hrs or the next morning etc.Baby Ray's has a great pineapple bbq sauce.My hubby teases me for saving 1 or more wings to eat for lunch the next day.The dogs are so cute.Do they get walked on leashes?Great job on the island.

Valerie did you know you can make vegetable or chicken stock by saving the celery that you threw away - i place them in a plastic bag in the freezer until i have enough. i do the same with the onion ends and save the chicken bones and boil for 10 * 15 min and then simmer on real low or put in the crockpot there you have homemade broth- just a suggestion to save money plus you control the ingredients 😄 the island looks really nice painted white. Nice job!

What a nice breakfast and dinner. What a loving mom. The cabinets look very nice. I painted mine white, got some Martha Stewart pulls and knobs and a new faucet. Made the kitchen look so much cleaner and pulled together. I live in a rental too. We have been here 6 years. It is a small old shotgun house near downtown in a beach town. Retired so no plan moving on. We have covered porches back and front. Good yard for our pug girl and three cats. I love your animals. Enjoy your videos very much.

Valerie I love watching your videos they are so inviting. Great job on the cabinets! Looks really nice! Those chicken wings looked so good they made me wish I had some. 🙂 I must admit that when you cut your celery and threw the tops out, I gasped. I use the tops and chop them up, put them in a freezer bag and use them for soups or stocks but that's just me. Your fur babies are so sweet I want to pet and talk to them.
