അതി രുചികരമായ പാച്ചോർ||അരിവറ്റിച്ചത്||pongal||Sarkara chorru||Pachoru||Rice Cooked in Jaggery Syrup

Ingredients:
Raw rice / Idli rice - 1½ cup (I used Sona Masoori)
Grated coconut - 1 small coconut /
Jaggery - ½ kg
Ghee - 1 tbsp
Coconut bits - ¼ of a coconut
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp (Powdered)
Cardamom - 7(Powdered)
Salt
Steps:
Cover and cook washed rice adding 3 cups of water.
When it comes to a boil, cook on medium flame.
Melt jaggery in 2 cups of water.
When the rice is ¾ cooked, add coconut, ghee and salt.
Mix well.
Add jaggery syrup.
Increase the flame and cook till the mixture thickens.
Keep stirring.
Add cumin powder and cardamom powder.
Switch off.
Heat ghee in a pan and roast coconut bits till golden.
Add it to the rice and mix well.
Transfer it to a pate and let it cool.
Enjoy the pachoru.

Mia Your recipes are very helpful for beginners.keep posting I have done Pachoru with chemba apache ARI...nall Ari in Angamaly side.and in Pressure cooker .after sarkara dissolved with two and three fourth cup of water ADD rice and coconut cardamom and cumin with two whistle.wait till pressure goes by itself. You spread in a plate and cut it.
