Hi Prof. Yu. First of all thank you for your channels. Your videos are helpful. I am here to study your reading and science subjects (these are the subjects that need to improved) I have bought sciences materials of your products from Etsy. However, I couldn't find the materials or practice questions for the reading subjects. Could you please give me the link? Secondly, by any chance, do you take personal tutoring job for your online student? I have failed taking the TEAS 7 a week ago and am very upset. I am so closed as 3 % to the minimal scored of the institution that I am applying for. A bit frustrating and is seeking of a tutor help. I'm looking for a tutor to motivate and drill me all the review materials that I need to focused on. Apparently ATI gives the exact focused review materials uniquely to each student that is failed on the TEAS exam. I really enjoy your lecturing style. Please let me know if these information are available. Thank you so much for all your help, Prof. Yu!

Hi! Thank you so much for your message - very kind of you and you absolutely made my day by letting me know my videos are helpful😊 I typically include the Etsy links in "Description" below the video and here's the link for the reading material: www.etsy.com/listing/1202689443/ati-teas-prep-series-a-powerpoint-study?ref=listings_manager_grid I'm sorry to hear that. To be that close to the minimal requirement is frustrating indeed. Glad to hear ATI provides you with recommended review materials based your performance. That will be very helpful. Unfortunately I won't be able to tutor you. Work is getting increasingly busy and is kicking my butt, sigh... I don't even have time to post new TEAS studying materials which is upsetting to me. But I really appreciate you thinking of me and more importantly you trying different strategies toward improving your score. I'm sorry I couldn't do it but I sincerely hope you will find someone who's motivated and teaches in a style that works best for you. I hope next time you take TEAS, you will be 10, 20 points over the minimum. You got this!

Hello @professor Yu. are these videos covering everything we need to know when it comes to the reading portion for the TEAS? also do you any resources we can use for the English portion? Thank you so much!
@professoryu5571 Жыл бұрын
Good question! These videos should cover most of the topics of the reading portion. But since I don't have a lot of practice questions in the video, it'd be great if you could find some additional questions to practice for reading. Unfortunately I don't currently have anything for English...😞

How many more videos do you need to finish the reading section?

I looked at my outline and about 6 more lessons.

Thank you for these videos! Does the "teas review lecture-Reading" playlist help with the TEAS 7?
@professoryu55712 жыл бұрын
You are very welcome! Good question. Yes, it will be helpful. Even though those videos are based on TEAS 6, the majority of the content in TEAS 7 (at least for science and reading) is the same as the TEAS 6 content. There are some updates that students should be aware of, which I'm currently working on in the new videos. I'd go through TEAS 6 videos first and then move on to the TEAS 7 updates videos. I hope this answers your question :-)

@@professoryu5571 Yes it does! Thank you! Also, I checked out an old TEAS mometrix study guide from my library and noticed that there were a lot of similar questions to the TEAS 6 mometrix study guide. Similarly, does the ATI TEAS recycle questions? And how similar is mometrix to the real thing? Sorry for all the questions, I appreciate it!

@@vyneyard No worries. You are totally fine. Those are all good questions! Yes, you will see a lot of similar questions because most of the content didn't change transitioning from 6 to 7. So if you have 6 study material, I'd definitely use it especially if it's free, lol. Just be sure to also have something that points out the changes/updates in 7 so that you don't miss any new requirements, eg body regions or major skeletal muscles. I've heard of the one you borrowed from the library but I have never used it (I think I was short of fund and was only able to buy the ATI study guide and the Kaplan study guide, lol) But it should be okay to use. In terms of similarity of questions in this particular study material, since I didn't use it, I can't say. But ATI does "recycle" questions - basically they have a large pool of questions and you get a random set of questions on the test. Again, a lot of the ver 6 questions remain because those topics are still required and it's also almost impossible to update all the questions in the pool without having at least a couple years. So I'd say check out any study material in your library especially the practice questions part, and practice as much as you can. Hope this answer is helpful :-)

Wow, your overall score is very high, great job! Thank you for letting me know. Yeah, the reading section can be very tricky and difficult. I have had some excellent students who destroyed science and math but barely passed reading minimum of 80 for our nursing program. But I'd say 76% is not bad at all for a first time taker and it's very likely that you can improve it. I suggest that you review the basics (all lessons) one more time and then find as many practice questions as possible. Be sure to make notes on why you got a question wrong. You almost have to make yourself think like ATI does. Also you can try reading more, especially the types of passages you see on TEAS. Do your best to understand everything in the passage or article. If you don't understand something, ask someone for help. Reading does take some time to get better but since your reading score isn't bad, I think you can get to 80 or 85 pretty quickly. Hope this helps :-)

Your question was gone from KZbin for some reason while I was typing. So I posted my answer in the previous message.
