Hi. I Had bought a pair of Atkinsons in the late 70s.I imported them from UK to Greece. There were in two boxes.In the first,there were the boxes, ready,with walnut veneers,while in the other,the speaker units,and the X"overs. I had enough difficulty to fix them,but I finished them and they were very good. After 25 years,I gave them as a gift to a relative,for her marriage,together with all the system. They play very well today.

@vietquoc007 ,of course.But some day my friend showed me the Magnepans,so I bought a pair of 3.6, together with two small B&W subs.

Hey there. Was wondering. These vs the Gale GS401a? Assuming same price.

that is a very good question. I didnt have a chance to let them go against each other. But these are a little bit more efficient than the gales. Base of memory, Gales have a stronger mid bass than these.

@@vietquoc007 hello viet. Thanks for the reply! Which would you say you preferred? If they were priced the same, and had to choose one, which would it be or are they too different to compare?

@@shan-junlu8238 hey. No worries Shan-Jun, Personally id decide with the power amp i have available. Gales need a lott of push!! But id pick Gales over these. Purely because Gales is one iconic pair of speakers that is very collectible!! They look gorgeous too. More Suitable for the modern decor yet would still fit nicely into your vintage theme should you have one. In my opinion, for the same size, i have not heard a pair of speakers that could do more than what gales give!!
