During the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Rahel TafarI saw her dream business, an Ethiopian-inspired coffeehouse, dwindling, as restaurants across the country closed. Remaining focused and resilient, TafarI quickly reached for capital lifelines to keep Grant Park Coffeehouse open. With support from Access to Capital for Entrepreneurs (ACE) and the Wells Fargo Open for Business Fund, TafarI not only survived but thrived, and now plans expand to a second location.
