Even though his fuckup coasted is maybe the playoffs. We aren’t gonna win if we don’t have a kicker that can make those kicks. If we did make it were weren’t expected to blow past anybody they were gonna be close games. Coaching staff not ready, for playoffs defense not ready, and Kickers(St) are not playing or coaching on a playoff level . He needs to let that be the last time we lose of clock management. Outside of that we still have the best record in almost 8 years. It would be stupid to change coaches in yr 1 and delay the process another 2-3 years. He still getting old coaches personel out and his in. I know they get a paid by Atlanta Falcons but it sure doesn’t seem like they have the best interest of the Falcons in mind when they make decisions. First off I find it funny that the same people that didn't want Bill Belichick are now saying Raheem Morris is terrible. The TRUTH is you saw an overwhelmed Falcons QB in Washington who had 1 TD, 1 INT, 2 Fumbles (that were luckily both recovered by the Falcons) & 2 Rushes for 3 Yards. Now compare that to Jaden Daniels 3 TD, 1 INT, 16 Rushes for 127 Yards. The Falcons were OBVIOUSLY outplayed at the QB Position

Heem did the same thing in the Chiefs game. Shoulda kicked the FG in the 4th. Defense got the ball back and Koo would have attempted a game winning field goal. An experienced HC, a veteran QB and longtime football coaches calling plays shouldn't be the reasons why the team has consistently underachieved and lost winnable games.

As a Commanders fan, we won that game for two reasons: 1. JD and his legs and 2. Raheem Morris and his terrible clock management. Any other QB and we don't come close to winning that. Our defense was horrible most of the night. Terry was invisible in this one. Thankfully Penix overthrew a couple sure TDs, too. I'll take the win happily, but we better get better fast if we're going to do anything in the playoffs.

Thanks to Morris for waiting too long to change QB's. Thanks to McKay & Fontenot for mortgaging the future with a max contract on QB coming off injury. Thanks for a shortened season to a nice failed HC and 2 arrogant team executives. Thanks loads. We could have had Belichick. He didn't want the job though and referred to McKay & Fontenot as arrogant know-it-all's. Look at how Dan Quinn is doing with different ownership and management. Morris will lose good players because of Kirk's huge contract. So next year when we lose players we’d like to keep and can’t make a big splash in free agency because we don’t have the money because they broke the bank for Kirk it’s not likely to get better next year. They’ll end up firing Morris and keep McKay and Fontenot so the team can struggle and hope to achieve mediocrity.

A lot of head coaches in the NFL and in college do not understand how to properly use timeouts on offense at the ends of halves. What is ultimately important is TIME, not timeouts per se. Take timeouts 1 and 2 earlier to preserve time, and keep the third one in your pocket to use at the very end if necessary (to get your field goal kicker onto the field or get one final shot at the end zone, as needed).

Morris messed up the season completely. He should've went to Penix at least 2 games before he finally came to that conclusion. Then, as far as yesterday, he stopped running the ball and the he refused to call a time out when we had 2 time outs to burn. We lost like 16 seconds at least. We could've run two additional plays at minimum to get us closer knowing we are dealing with a backup kicker! We can't put it on him because it was a beautiful kick but he just didn't have the distance. Had we gotten 10 to 15 years closer then we win the damn game. Morris only gets next year to show me something different and if we come out the gate losing then he needs to go by week 5 because we can't keep playing games when we have talent like this. They are gonna wanna walk to a contender if we can't start competing.

Quinn made mega changes at the half. Morris made none. That's right, QUINN outcoached Morris. That ain't gonna work. Completely agree on the clock management. Falcons SHOULD have had a spy on Daniels the entire night, because he's ALWAYS a threat to reel of huge chunks of yards when he runs. Sure enough - they turned him loose in the 2nd half. This was really too big of a moment for a rookie to handle in game 2, but Penix still did pretty good considering. I tell you one thing - Pitts' chest is going to be sore and bruised from that last TD. My god - -that dart had enough mustard to feed an entire city for a year. Penix is going to be good. He just needs some playing time. He's got the biggest cannon on him that the Falcons have had since Bartkowski - and that's saying a hell of a lot!
