Watching your videos in HD really does bring everything to life. Watching them on my 32 LCD HDTV makes it seem like I'm actually behind the wheel. The spaghetti junction must have been an engineering marvel for its time (over 20 years ago), and it's still a very impressive interchange to drive under, despite some of the newer mega interchanges that have sprouting up around the country, since the Spaghetti Interchange opened (mainly in Texas and Southern California).

Great ride, the left lane thing seems to be exclusive to atlanta

Thanks, no, it's everywhere, lol.

I basically learned how to drive in the Spaghetti Junction construction, it was a mess for a good 4-5 years around there. It was the first of it's kind in the Atlanta area and IMO is one of the most impressive interchanges in the Eastern Time Zone, Top 5 easily.

This channel is brilliant - and i live in Britain - reminds me of my several road trips across US - especially when i worked in RI/MASS --and great music.....

Thanks, yes they really are, sometimes I take for granted how good the roads are here.

Thanks! That interchange has no nickname that I'm aware of. The Ramp from I-285 South to I-285 east is the coolest ramp in the area, a sweeping 3-lane flyover.

Thank You, That's the HOV (High Occupancy Vehicle) lane, you must have 2+ people in the car or be in a bus or motorcycle to use them.

Atlanta's Downtown Connector can be a really challenging expressway at times, whether it is congested, when a person is ripping on left-lane hogs, even at night.

Great vids, man. One question. I have noticed that you have a lot of videos about Atlanta. You have some really awesome roads down there......are you from Atlanta, by chance? Just wondering.....I'm from VA.

Cool, I do call the Hampton Roads area home, and I do love the variety of bridges and tunnels here (can't stand the traffic though,), but I know that there areprobably literally hundreds of people that would kill to have the HRBT expanded to what the Downtown connector in ATL can handle...That is what I call a freeway!!!!!

@Freewayjim Well, the left-lane hogs are in your videos, sir. The Downtown Connector was built in 1951 and expanded in the mid-80s and has remained one of the world's busiest roads to this day.

Left lane hogs, lol. I call the CLLD's - Chronic Left Lane Drivers. They aren't going anywhere and have all day to get there. Another thing I call them is SASC's - Self Appointed Speed Controllers, because you know they do!
