I've been here since the last official freaknik, so I've seen it all. A huge turn came when they started to redesign all the clubs to be full of sections. Eliminating the dance floor ruined the club vibe for sure. Thanks, Kash, for what you do🙏!

I’m in my 40s born and raised in Georgia. IMO the out-of-towners ruined the Atlanta night life with all the violence. We didn’t have that much violence in the city before everybody started moving down here. Sadly, southern culture, hospitality, and values are dead here cause everybody from somewhere else and bring that fuckery down here

In Atlanta everyone is a celebrity 🤷🏾♂️ so we don't really fan out when celebrities are around. They feel very comfortable out in the city. If someone going crazy fanning out they're from out of town.

Well the night life has went down hill and continues to decline as early as the year 2000. Also most clubs here are getting too expensive to even deal with in the first place. For example: when you charging $40 and up to park and it's not valet, thats diabolical work.👀🤷🏾♂️😬
@justblaze101120 күн бұрын
Nah, the 2000’s the clubs were still good.

Naw the problem is society making normal 9-5 men feel like they have to be ballers to go out and have a good time.the real social decline came when social media got popular 🤔.
@lamarunderwood505517 күн бұрын
@MaiLing1000 We in a class war now. Get ready, it's about to get crazy out here. Watch what they do to California in 4 years. Mark my words, they trying to price out the middle class in all major cities.

@@onthewayto6 Funny thing is I done met more weird dudes in Atlanta than any other city, yet they always blame everything that’s either ratchet or screwed up on people that moved here lol.

I was at the Atlanta U.center.mid 80,s clubs played R&B, ATL had many nice clubs people were respectful. It was about the dance floor and meeting people.

Its not just in ATL its all over. People dont go to events for the experience, with social media they go to say they went there. DJs just play playlist and dont respect the craft. Women feel entitled because promoters give them everything for free.

My ex wife is born in Joburg and raised in Capetown. We moved to Atl in 2010. I knew about amapiano in 08. It is from Durban in SA. I had previously lived in the A from 97-05. My first time in the A was in 93. My boys and I performed at Spellman. I’ve been at several freakniks from 94 on. I know the A. Amapiano and Afrobeat will not last that long. It will be like Fela and Bob Marley. We like it and love it. But it’s not OUR ish. I believe black American deep funk house will come up. It’s the link to funk, soul, upbeat rnb and disco. It is the updated version of the original club music.

The ATL club seen is going down because the average 9-5 man can't afford it, cellphones and crime. Folks paying $400-1k to sit on a sofa and drink some overpriced liquor you can get for $50. Women dance, but they dance for other women, and the music is so loud you have a hard time talking to women, and most the DJ's play the same set. Almost song for song.

Amapiano parties popping doesn't mean the Atlanta nightscene is popping. This is Georgia,USA.....not South Africa. That's "bathroom break" music to most Georgia folks.

10:06 I think the reason it’s dead now is because they only cater to women now! Knick if u buck era was king it was for everyone the rnb parties started the decline now the day parties even suffer when the rnb era came and the Meg the stallion era came it closed places like hole in the wall and red martini a lot of clubs died behind the change
