I'm an Event DJ and this was very informative and a DOPE discussion!

I love Abe, Abe is a businessman and I respect him. A lot of people do not respect nightlife as a business. You make no money being nice and letting everyone in free. When I work an event, whether it’s the door or event coordinator, it’s all business with me. So I totally get it.

We used to get to the club at least one hour before happy hour ended, to get those happy hour prices.

I enjoyed this conversation. I was the guy that tried to get to the club before 10:30 for free entry and get the drinks flowing early. 🤣

Promoters started choosing the cheapest DJs and the OGs quit and let the kids have it. Too bad they don’t have enough music knowledge to rock a party all night! 😂

Great show, guys! 👏🏾 All the guys hit the key points. I respect they spoke about primary jobs outside of their companies and other ventures. It’s money in parties/events, but every night wont be as successful as the previous. You gotta pay security, DJ, venue, parking, promotion, team and other costs.

In a nut shell, gentrification and the owners killed they own club. Nobody wanna pay them prices to hang out no more, and bro right we can just got to a restaurant, have a great night with a table food and music for way cheaper. GAME OVER

I think everyone that is working that event or club should promote. From the dj to the door girl. You can never have enough promo. But I am old school working nightlife

Abe one of the realest in nightlife in the A. Always shows love and respect anytime I been in RB. Biddy a cool cat as well, shout out to both of them. They ain't lying about the crowd coming in at 2am and the club close at 3am. Parking cost 50 to 100. The music is 🚮, can't dance to it, etc. It's all bad right now. R and B nights are taking over currently, its the play.

Ripping your people off to party.😞 I would never. Ps: I’ve been to the Velvet room back on the day. The parking prices was BS.
