Wow! Imagine the guys building this road. Heroes! The engineers for design! The material that has to withstand the effects of the sea! Whoa!!!??? The drivers and sightseers who drive the road and stop! Absolutely beautiful!

Absolutely SPECTACULAR! I've seen many amazing oceanside roads on both sides of North America (Canada and U.S.) but nothing like this. Thank you so much for sharing this incredible drive with us. Outstanding photography.

This is absolutely amazing. I usually much prefer to see time-lapsed videos of freeways or highways, but the scenery of this video makes a slowed down or unedited version of it much more appealing. Thanks for putting it on KZbin for all of us to see and share!

Beautiful film and beautiful country. I am amazed at the beauty. You have a beautiful country. Don't be angry at all Americans for the rude comments of that jerk. You can be proud of your heritage because it is very noble and you are great people. Thanks for the great videos. I'll enjoy them many times.

Personally, I love the music with videos like this. Builds the drama. Can you imagine driving this road all the time. Probably a super drive in good weather but whoa! in stormy weather I wouldn't want to be anywhere near that road. I am surprised that even knowing the waves were washing over the highway and a great chance of hydro-planing, the driver barely slowed down.

Lovely footage! Tusen takk! Just one correction: This is not the "north-west coast" but rather the southern-to-middle west coast of Norway, between Molde & Kristiansund. I've lived in Lofoten in Nordland. THAT + Finnmark north of it are Norway's northwest coast.
@la7dfa2 жыл бұрын
The area in this footage is called Nordvestlandet. I guess it is easy to translate it wrong, but it is just north of Vestland which covers south-western Norway +/-.

The earlier part is a HD Hero I'm pretty sure, they have a distinct audio signature; kind of clackity. The later parts where the camera gets wet is also likely a HD Hero. The other parts I've no idea, I'd guess one of the many DSLRs with video functions.

This is not not the shallow North Sea. It is the part af the Atlantic ocean called the Norwegian Sea, and the region around this piece of road generally experience the strongest winds in Norway.
That's awesome, I wish I could drive to work everyday on that.

Well, to give you some facts: Norway is still rising from the sea after the ice sheet that held it down during the last ice age melted. Today, the landmass is rising faster than the sea level. Though the sea might catch up at some time, even with the scariest estimations it would take around 300 years to sink the lowest parts of the road. By then, the structures of society around the coast will probably look different from how it looks now.
