Atlantic City is officially DEAD. I took a walking tour on a beautiful sunny day with a light breeze on the boardwalk and the beach. Where were the people? I guess people must not like Atlantic City anymore. This is city has gone through a lot of changes over the years. Tourists need to come back to this city to make it great again. If you like a boardwalk, beach, and casinos then come to Atlantic City, New Jersey. Make sure to Like, Comment, Share, and Subscribe. The channel can grow and you can get to see more great videos by showing love and Subscribing.

What an ignorant thing to say. Clearly you don’t know anything about out the area for one. Also it’s off season. Every town on the jersey shore is “officially dead” off season. Not to mention just cause the boardwalk isn’t jam packed it doesn’t mean anything, there’s crazy things to do in AC, lots of entertainment, amazing restaurants, world class gambling. Go in June or July and then say it’s dead. So ridiculous

Thanks for the comment. No matter the season Atlantic City number of people has dwindled from previous years. It is sad but true.

@@ready_to_destination I live here and you are accurate in much of what you say. Also, the reliance on weed stores popping up everywhere is going to kill AC as far as being a family oriented place.

I have noticed that even in the peak season. Or whichever 4 seasons, it does not matter because the numbers in the people are low in visiting Atlantic City. It does not help that the surrounding areas outside of the boardwalk is a hot mess 😔.

Here is how it works down there. June, July, August are the summer months when the tourist show up. Most of the businesses down there are geared towards this crowd. This is especially true if you are there for the beach and boardwalk. This is also true for the other NJ beach towns. Sept thru most of May is the off season. Generally most of the visitors this time of the year come for the casinos. It's a decent trip if you just want to visit the casinos play a few games and maybe watch a show. The crowds are much thinner but everything is not open. The real bonus is that the hotel rooms are much cheaper. I prefer going during the summer because I can do both beach and casino that time of the year. It gets really crowded on the weekends.

The elected officials don't understand. To get to the boardwalk, people need a place to park. a. How long has the Atlantis been tore down, that should be a parking lot. b. How long has the Sands been tour down, that should be a parking lot. c. How long has the Trump Plaza been tore down, that should be a parking lot. d. There's areas on the other side of the Ocean that should be turned into parking lots. THAT'S THE KEY, GIVE PEOPLE ACCESS TO THE BOARDWALK AND THE BEACHES.

..."dead" or not, i love Atlantic City and i would love to return for a visit. The last year i visited for a 2 week vacation was the year before Casinos were approved. As a young boy at 16-18, i think it was on St.James that i found a rooming house, which was something i could afford, and safe. nearby, (is it/are they still there,) just off the boardwalk (at Central Pier) to spend my time playing pinball and mini golf mostly, the beach, the walk to Captain Starn's to buy off the dock the freshest fish in the early morning, (and eating at least once, every visit, in the Restaurant their famous food), shopping on Atlantic avenue, finding spots where live music was played, cooking for myself and meeting interesting people, a lot of Jazz musicians, and a lot of Vietnam Vets, Duke Ellington for one, who played on the Steele Pier every summer... neighborhoods ...don't be shy to narrate a little more, some descriptions of shops, how long they have been there, for example. ...or interviews with the people who keep AC's landmarks alive, because they deserve the face-time. (not just 'stuff' showing all of it, the long travel shot, show stuff you like because you know this town so well, feature the stuff worthwhile, pause for the stuff we should be paying attention to loving AC as much. Nothing stays the same forever, and starting this channel think what it will be worth twenty or forty years from now if you just keep going; some things need to be remembered while always changing still here, some things need to be remembered because they will not be there in the future, some things we should remember that are already gone so that there is something learned from them too, and it's a big story someone should tell: some suggestions, in a way i am hoping you will 'save' Atlantic City, at least for me anyway.) ...i have subscribed and looking forward to more. Thanks. ...cheers!

On-site casinos are on their way out because of inflation. Casinos in Vegas are now charging parking fees and fees for spas. Because they must pay more for everything including electricity, food, and security, it's really hurting their bottom line. They've had to introduce video games instead of slot machines which gives the player less chance of winning any substantial amount of money.
@ready_to_destination
@ready_to_destination 4 ай бұрын
I am surprised that online gambling has not put on site gambling out of business. But I guess some people are loyal gambler's who prefer to show up on site. That is ashame that Vegas is charging parking fees and fees for spas. I guess the casinos onsite are really trying to hold on. Video games instead of slot machines is crazy 😳
