Very nice. I spent my first 10 years in Cape Elizabeth, ME, home to Portland Headlight. I am pretty sure we bought bricks like you described. My uncle and cousin currently live in St Augustine, FL, which has a nice lighthouse of its own. One time I walked to the top of it, and that was a hell of a workout, my lord. Those guys are actually visiting AC for the first time this LDW. They go to Vegas all the time, and my uncle actually grew up in NJ, but AC is new to them. I sent them a link to your AC playlist.

Yup, you have to pace yourself when going up! Don't do it in the summer either! LOL! Thanks for sharing the link!

Fascinating! I love lighthouses. did you say in the video what the cost of the bricks are? I missed it if you did.

He wants 2 bricks, give him a basketball

Basketball? I used to play basketball in high school. I'm 5'11", not really basketball material. It was a small school. I think they were desperate.

I think a brick is $10. Everything is 'for sale'. You can by a ventilator for $50k, (what ever that is), one of the light lenses for $2.5k, even the doors and windows are 'for sale'. A great way to raise cash to keep the property going. Thanks for watching Richard!

We visit Atlantic city from Canada two weeks ago and stay at the Ocean Resort. Customer Service was definitely not the best, but the hotel was great. Also the surrounding areas are really run down, but that Nike Factory at the outdoor Tanger Mall had some great prices. Overall, we enjoyed our visit but man they have a lot of work to do. The place is sketchy at best and we had to go out of the city a lot of times to find somewhere presentable to eat. Tolls everywhere for them highways hahahaha. I would go back though but this time I would go to Hard Rock since it is in the middle of everything versus Ocean. Excellent Video by the way

Never having been, I’ve heard quite a bit about the lighthouse. Though that’s not how I thought Absecon was spelled. 😆

Yup! That's how to spell it! Thanks Dan!

They may have renovated recently, but I don't think they did much with the lighthouse itself; maybe it's a historic landmark and can't do much

Nine dollars to climb 288 steps. I'll have to get back to you on that. It was designed and built by George Meade of Civil War fame. He was an engineer before he was a general

Aren't you a little old to be walking up that many stars?
@NuYawk4 ай бұрын
Not at all. I can't run up them, but climbing at a decent temperature and pace is not a problem. With age comes strong legs and the wisdom to ask polite questions. (Microphone drop).

I think I'd turn around after seeing them. I loved the elephant video, and I'd probably cop out of that one, too. But I would have missed a lot.

@@NuYawk I stood outside while my brother and sister-in-law went up. They took me up to the Empire State Building after many bottles of wine after dinner, and I enjoyed it a lot; I got the 'runs' and we waited so long to get the elevator that I said I'll mess my pants before I lose my place in line. They assured me there was a bathroom up top there, and there is! I had to wait in line when I got up there. But I made it. The City really is beautiful. My brother didn't like "Top of the Rock" at 30 Rockefeller; he said it was a waste of $. These things are like $40 now a person.
