Hey, that "never closed" restaurant is Bill's Gyros and Souvlaki, a boardwalk staple. If you've never been in there i highly recommend stopping in there for a gyro or one of their breakfast sandwiches. They've got dollar bills lining pretty much every inch of the place. They used to be open 24 hours when the boardwalk was more lively years ago.

Hey Jeff, I didn't know you hung out at Ocean so much. I think Ocean has the best sportsbook in Atlantic City by far. I was at the Ocean sports book for the World Series opening weekend between the Yankees and the Dodgers. I think it was a bit busier for those games than for the fight. Maybe you should do a video for top 5 sportsbooks in Atlantic City. A lot of people like this because they can find the information easily as they might just want to go for a game or weekend. I agree with you about Hard Rock's sports book being really bad. I am not sure what they were thinking when they built it in the corner. .

Love Ocean the best. It seems the sports places at the casinos are very popular. It's great to be with the crowd and excitement. Im not into sports but enjoyed the boxing match with Tyson.

I hope you feel better Dwall44! This particular restaurant/bar at Showboat has been around for a few months now. I covered it in other videos. Why they would send out invites to a party and be closed is beyond me. I know lots of places in town to go and see for events. No big deal. Others not familiar with AC might have been very disappointed. Poor public relations if you ask me. I just may be in town while you're there! If you see me say hi!

Growing up my house was where everyone( family and friends)came to watch the big boxing pay per views when boxing meant something. And as far as restaurants closing before posted hours,unless it's some type of emergency, I think it's unacceptable. As a former business owner it's really important to adhere to your announced hours. You may never go back after 8 again. I can only imagine how slow it's gonna be next 3 or so months.

I agree. This was worse. They invited people to an event and the doors were locked and lights out! LOL! Thank goodness there were tons of alternatives. Still left a bad taste.

Our supermarket, with 5 inches of snow on the ground, as an employee I'm dying for them to send us home, but I think it's important for businesses to let customers know we're always there for them. So if they promised something, they should deliver. Maybe, since Nu Yawk responded to an RSVP, maybe they didn't get enough responses?? But still...do you think the other restaurants and bars in the other casinos were busy Fight Night?

Those tables were in Resorts spbk over the summer. Rosie is known as the 1st lady of boxing. Maybe not enough people replied to Lemonada. Maybe should've let you know, if that were true, or just canceled. Bills Gyro is my goto everytime I'm in AC. Great breakfast too, and a bloody Mary to go with it. They're from NYC, came to AC in the 80s due to re zoning. DO AC!

This is the craziest video! Table games now at the Sportsbook? I don't know if your listeners remember ESPN Zones. I liked them because it was a sit down restaurant and you could watch your sports. And now with sports betting being permitted, I think bringing them back in some format would be great. I don't like eating with such commotion going on, and these sportsbooks look like, & now with table games, you come and go, screaming, playing Blackjack, it's just not a 'kind meal.' More like chow down on your food and take a Tums. At least with a sit-down sportsbook, there's the sports, but you can sit and enjoy the screens plus the excitement guests have for the games, but there's significantly less commotion, except people winning and losing. I love the Radio City Christmas Show, but the movie they used to show wasn't conducive to watching it, because it's a big place and kids ran up and down the aisles, were getting up to go to the bathroom; you had to get up 5x during a movie to let someone out. Just a commotion, and the movie was secondary to a playground for kids who can't sit still. (Now at the Christmas Show, at Radio City, without a movie, you sit down and stay seated until intermission). I certainly don't want to enjoy food while all this is going on in today's sportsbooks. I prefer a 'sit down restaurant sportsbook.'

Nu Yawk, re: "The West" (formerly Wild Wild West Casino), where, I'm not doubting you, but where and how did you find out the name has been changed? Is it in its signage? Is it something they're broadcasting over their intercom? How did you find this out? Is 'the Wild Wild West' casino in financial trouble?

I think boxing should eventually be outlawed, but I thought football was on the way out, too, even with beloved Bob Costas saying how we all felt about football, "that it was bad for the brain", and then he got fired for saying so. Maybe they need more medical reports first, lol? The Pandemic was a perfect time to say, 'we're phasing out football,' since it wasn't going on anyways. Nope! That's crazy; Showboat promoting the fight and not even opening the restaurant. Seems 'not smart.' Do you think there was enough people Friday night in Atlantic City visiting that it would have been worthwhile for them opening Limonada? The boardwalk seemed quiet! Even if there wasn't, it wasn't a smart business move, unless everyone called out sick? Maybe Limonada didn't get permission from the Health Department to open up? Has it been open before, the Limonada? Maybe they're waiting for permission from powers-to-be?
