As a New Yorker I love hopping on a bus for a night out down by the shore in AC. The Boardwalk venues, casino games, buffets (what's left), bars, etc are still a good draw. What's left of them anyway. But it is a lot harder to get to these days from NYC without a car, with Greyhound & NJ Transit being the only options left. And Greyhound gouging its customers for a steep fare for a mere 2 hour trip. The outer streets are a hit and miss of course, Having walked all around with no real issue. You have some streets that look seedy with others that are downright beautiful and with newer looking homes with manicured lawns. You'd swear you were some place else all together. One thing I never understood is why AC was never a cruise port to begin with. Think about it. That boardwalk, hotels, gambling, nightlife, shows, nearby cities such as Philly, Wilmington, etc. Anyway, thanks for the ride, liked & sub'd, watching from NYC.

I live at Baltic Plaza. You were actually in the nice area. Next time try Atlantic Ave btwn Tennessee and Indiana, that stretch is an open air drug bazaar.

I’ll keep it in mind for next time. Can’t wait to check it out, especially since the area in this video was pretty beat up

Yep, go one block off the boardwalk and you’re in a 3rd world country and your life is in danger. It’s a no go zone now!

Just like Las Vegas. Just beyond all the lights exist all types of vice and crime.

That's the nicest hood I've seen but that's not the real hood in AC. Try going to Stanley Homes or back Maryland hood. 🤣

@@BRAYXOTIC Seriously though,I’m amazed how many cities in the US have been allowed to fall into such a state.New York has always had it’s neglected areas but why is it that its buildings are so different now from those iconic 70s buildings we loved like for example the memorable shop frontage and fire escape images we saw in KOJAK,STARSKY AND HUTCH .Now the shop fronts are all unassuming glass fronted buildings hidden by Scaffolding. Its such a different look now and not for the better.

i agree, it's an interesting concept. That's what I try to investigate in these places. Not only show what it's like, but also figure out why it's like that

It used to be many neighborhoods in that city that are all gone now.All vacant areas and open lots. The whole inlet look like a harlem in the seventies. All wiped away
