Going to college, exams, job interview, child birth (maybe getting married?) or even an ocean crossing... At some point, we’ve all been dealing with anxiety in face of something big happening in our lives. Feeling anxiety doesn’t necessarily mean that something isn’t meant to be. At some point, we’ve all pushed through our anxiety to find something great on the other side. Even though it may not be triggered by the same situations, please remember to be kind when you see someone dealing with anxiety.

Sheffield Bailey Exactly. I see some people giving him shit about it and saying he’s a problem or he’s depressing. That is insane, I’d be more concerned about someone who has no worries about hoping in a small boat and crossing the Atlantic. From everything else I seen, he’s well equipped and took every precaution he could to prepare and I’m sure this last day was spent stressing over everything and trying to think of there’s anything else he needs to do before they set sail. He’s also probably like me and many other guys and feel responsible for our girlfriends or wives, not to sound sexist or as if they need us, just that we don’t want anything to happen to them and couldnt live with ourselves if something we did or didn’t do caused them to be hurt or killed. I think there’s a lot of armchair critics who have no idea what setting sail across the Atlantic is like in a little boat. There’s no Walmart’s to go to or repairmen to call and the ocean isn’t really forgiving at all. I also saw someone else mention that he’s a fighter pilot, if the Air Force trusted him with a fighter jet I don’t think there’s any reason for some KZbin commenters to doubt him.

Ryan as a person that goes through anxiety nearly every time I went on a trip until very recently, I can say sir I understand how stressful it is. I know mostly how it all turned out and you arrived safely in the Caribbean. Regardless, take care and thanks for sharing.

Ryan be very aware of what she is and doing as it's true...you take care of most practical stuff...but believe me...she adds to this all that fun part that is the essence beyond doing thing (and I know it as I'm like you) I'd pay for having a Sophie with me as everything becomes possible. Been fun watching the dynamic evolve .... Sophie has figured out it takes a lot of energy to worry so just let Ryan do that .... 50 % team calm is a good balance. Also i have to mention again about Sophie looking very confident handling the boat now..... i remember her death gripping the wheel with both hands when you guys first set out. Bravo! Great video that delivered every nuance.

Really enjoy your channel and Sophie's sense of humour. "Real Time" Question - how is the Coronavirus affecting the Carribean at the moment? Obviously they are very Tourist dependent - are any measures in place, what are they doing? What are you doing? What does the cruising comunity think? Have you seen any drop in visitors or the same? Perhaps do a "Real time" video & let us know how its going over there? Just a thought as no one else has - to my knowledge.....

Hi Sophie! I just found out about the electronic pulse wrist watches that are supposed to help with morning sickness and motion sickness! I have tried it last week when I woke up feeling a bit weird, and sick. It was a strange sensation, but the good news is that you do not have to put chemicals in your body. I applaud the Risk Management approach Sophie and Ryan use, is a good template that other in the sailing fraternity could use. Sophie is full of beans and living out her dream, she would be a pleasure to be around, Ryan, I’m not so sure. If things went “pear shaped” out at sea I’m confident that Sophie has the smarts to handle it, from what I’ve seen here I wouldn’t be as confident the Ryan could handle things as well as Sophie. I don’t think he likes the cruising lifestyle and is simply doing it for Sophie and that’s a shame. Keep doing what you do best Sophie and Ryan needs to either get his heart and mind into it or give it up, the ocean isn’t a place for a man to be a sissy or wishy washy with decisions. Great channel Sophie and keep up your larrakin ways, your personality is so infectious , how could any person be miserable or anxious around you.
