Atlantic salmon spawning in the Winooski River

Was this below the first dam? Just curious because they say there is no spawning environment below and that’s why the truck them up above the dams

Below the first dam. It's almost entirely sandy deposits in the river bed between the lake and the Intervale. From the Intervale up to the dam there are a few pockets that have gravely bottoms more suitable for spawning.
