***ATLANTIC STARR TRIVIA TIME!!*** ....touch ON it... ; ) (2:33) - ... first things first....welcome BACK, Mommy Empress!! ...I was goin' NUTZ not able to educate anyone with my trivia that I had stored in my noggin.... but now that you're BACK....Atlantic Starr was really striking gold 1981-1984; they had hit their stride, with "Send For Me", "When Love Calls", & the 1982 R&B / Disco classic, "Circles".... - ...but the lead Singer Sharon Bryant was getting antsy to go Solo; she left DURING the release of their 1983 LP, "Yours Forever" while this tune went Top 5 R&B, at #4; She was going to work with Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis for her 1985 Solo debut, but didn't like the 'street vibe' of their tracks, and...get THIS.....turned them DOWN..... - ....didn't matter, 'cause they gave 1/2 the tracks to JANET JACKSON, for her "Control" Album! ..what's One Woman's trash..... THEN, A-Starr hired the CLASSY Barbara Weathers, and had MASSIVE success (1985-1987) with "Secret Lovers", "Always" & "Silver Shadow".....poor Sharon....

It's great to have you and Baby Empress back. While you were gone, I watched Joni Mitchell receive The 2023 Gershwin Prize for Popular Song from Librarian of Congress Carla Hayden. Recently, Burt Bacharach and Bobby Caldwell have passed away. It seems that every week another titan of music leaves us. I'm grateful that Joni Mitchell's extraordinary singer/song writer skill is being recognized. So many times I have to learn of exemplary talent AFTER they have passed away. Like James Jameson of The Funk Brothers (Standing in the Shadows of Motown).

Atlantic Starr is definitely one of my favorite bands. Barbara Weathers was magnificent in the band. TAFLC shows their talent and vocal abilities. You got great taste my musical sister. My adorable musical niece is growing. 😘💕

YEAH, THEY SHOULD BE IN THE ROCK & ROLL HALL OF FAME OR ATLEAST CONSIDERATION! THEY WERE DOMINANT IN THE 1980'S AND WERE GOOD IN THE 70'S, 80'S AND EARLY 90'S! GREAT VIDEO, GREAT REACTION!
