Atlantic Waste • Mack LR New Way Rear Loader Garbage Truck

This truck was the first truck I filmed on my Georgia trip. Early Monday morning, I set out across downtown Savannah looking to see if I could any trucks collecting after the weekend, however I found out quickly that unlike up here in PA, crews start later in the morning down there, so I found nothing being out so early. I used that to my advantage though, and took the drive over to Pooler, and immediately found these guys just starting for the day.
Atlantic has quite a few of these trucks now, and I must say, they are some of the best spec'd rear loaders I've ever seen. The tippers and hopper extension were paired beautifully, and the crew was able to dump numerous over-filled carts before having to run the blade. I spotted a handful of other companies with the same tipper and hopper sill setup, so whoever the local New Way distributor is, really knows how to spec a truck for a carted route!
I was able to get a ton of footage of this truck, so although this video is on the shorter side, this is definitely not the last video you'll see of these guys!

I apologize for the late comment, but better late than never I figured haha. Glad you were able to catch this. Been wanting to see vids of these LR New Ways from Atlantic for a while so I’m super glad you found one. These are set up super well the hopper extensions and high dumping tippers are truly awesome. It seems like everyone these days goes for price over efficiency, but you can tell Atlantic put a little more money in on the nice tippers and the extensions, and it makes such a huge difference. Love how they always put their logo on the blade as well. The late starts are pretty annoying lol. Even some large municipalities in the Atlanta area get to the route around 8. Definitely wish things started a little earlier down here. Great video and congrats on 1K!

You don’t have to tell me about late comments, I have over 600 videos in a watch later list I still have to get to, lol. These trucks were some of the best spec’d trucks I’ve ever seen for a carted route. RL’s up here have to pack after nearly every can, and these guys were able to dump 5+ full carts before they had to run the blade. Yeah the start time threw me way off, I’m used to getting up to go filming around 4-4:30, not 7-7:30 lol. Thanks a bunch!

Great find Bailey! I remember looking in to this company when I was planning on going down to SC but the house we where looking at got booked. I’ve been waiting for someone to film them and glad you were able to. Great video!

Awesome find! This looks fantastic, I’m a huge fan of how nicely their logo blends with the tan paint. They spec’d this super well in my opinion, it seems that they can fit a lot in the hopper before cycling the blade, especially with how the geometry of the tipper is. I’m surprised the logo on the packer is still as clean as it is haha cant wait to see some more videos from your trip down south!

Awesome catch 😄!! Next time you come down, try and get a City of Savannah truck. The are green and they roster CCC LET2 Crew Cabs/New Way 25 yd King Cobras!
