Atlantis FC-387 on Violin & Rap Vocals vs TLM 102

Atlantis gives a huge, full sound! Tlm 102 is a little beast but that Atlantis is amazing.

The TLM sounds way more ready to go where as the FC sounds way warmer. That being said I can see the TLM needing more EQ if it isn’t working with a track. The FC paired with a good pre and EQ in may be more versatile. Then again you’re paying for 3 mics in one so maybe just get the 102 and another mic for more bang for your buck.

I still like the 102 BUT I think the Atlantis FC-387 'pushes' your vocals while the TLM has that overall sheen. Micing the amp for your violin?: 102 all day, the Alantis on Nuetral was kinda close. #mics #amplifier #studio #gear #equipment #audiophile #recording #producer #musician #artist

I think the lauten got a damn big midpresence.. i think its a lil too much.. i dont know.. the neumanns are all very qualitysounding. Im usin also just Neumann u87 and a TLM49.. the lauten sounds good, but of another way for vocals. The violin comes BIGGER on the lauten. Maybe in reason for the BIG MIDS of this mic. And also the deeeeep LOWEND. Nice clip my g!

Big volume difference between mics. and you're distorting when hitting the Atlantis on your vocals

Hey thanks for watching. The mics were on the same level and I pulled back on them both, I did write in video when the level was to hot before I pulled them both back. I tried to keep them equal.
