Do you two have jobs? Yes! We both have full time careers. Brian is a Software Engineer and Kerry is a Graphic Designer.
Is this vlog a paid promotion with the cruise line? No, we have never worked with a cruise line before (I doubt they even know who we are 😂). If that ever changes, we will be sure to let you know in the video.
What are those black pouches around your neck? We use the lanyards to carry some camera equipment, but many cruisers like to wear lanyards to hold their room key card.
What camera do you use? We typically use the DJI Pocket II, however, when we are in the water we use the Go Pro Hero 9, and in Alaska we occasionally used the Nikon P1000 for wildlife shots. What is a GUSS? GUSS is our name for a Towel Animal! It is a childhood memory for Brian that has lived on for years. You can see the home video moment where GUSS was born in Adventure of the Seas Day 6 (We Made the News) and Allure of the Seas Day 3 (Sea Day).
Is that one thing you said serious? Almost certainly not. If you’re new to the channel, we have really dry, sarcastic senses of humor. So if you’re questioning if it’s sarcasm - it probably is.

Is it really pronounced CoCo “Key”? Royal Caribbean has said itself that it is pronounced “Key” in a FAQ of their own here: creative.rccl.com/Sales/Royal.... To each their own on this pronunciation!

In breaking news: a couple has been discovered alive weeks after being stranded alone on a remote deserted island following their cruise ship sinking. Strangely they were only found when an aircraft flying overhead reported seeing a Ben and Jerry’s cow on the island’s beach. At first the pilot thought it was a missed steak, but then saw the two survivors vlogging together on the sand. When interviewed after being rescued, they were asked why they stole the cow as their only survival tool from the ship. Shipwreck survivor Kerry (not related to Jerry) said she always knew the cow was going to be legend-dairy. Brian (not related to Ben) said he thought their chances of being found alive with the cow were medium rare. 😂😂🤣

When talking about survival and what you should take you actually had one of the best objects in your shot. That was the big umbrella. You could use it for shade to protect from the sun. You can turn it upside down and catch rain for fresh water. It is a big object so will be good to see from the air to aid rescuers that are searching for you. And the pole of the umbrella could be used as tool to dig letters in the sand (again aid in rescue) or defense/attack if needed.

Fill the Lifeboat with as much food and water as you possibly can and take that. Not only will you have food and water but the Lifeboat will provide you with shelter and shade which is also important if you're stuck on a deserted island. And protection from predators

Those waves are no joke when on the open sea. I did a pacific coast cruise and we had 30 ft swells from inclement weather, it wasn’t even storming, it was just the north pacific and bcuz of that our port of Astoria in Oregon was cancelled bcuz it was too dangerous to try to get in

Lol they told us it was 35k a night. We did blue Lagoon and absolutely loved it. There were 2 beach areas, you could see all sorts of animals, the food was included, there were games to play like big Jenga, chess etc.

Yes love the cruise compass but we still got the paper ones on our December cruise. If they truly go green then yeah I would prefer that pdf but I would prefer it in the app with some way to link stuff, save stuff, because in the app you can save the activities to be reminded of it. So the pdf version would need to have a function implemented into the app to still do that. But the way the app has it is okay, but it could better for sure.

I swim from Nassau over to Paradise Island by myself before it was developed and in the bottom of the sea which is about 50 ft down are all kinds of sea snakes. Now I find out where they came to the surface to breathe I had my head down with my scuba mask on so I would never have seen them.

From what I’ve heard, Royal Caribbean ships might be comparable in LENGTH to other ships, like Wish, that are significantly lower in gross tonnage, but they are noticeably WIDER than many other ships (according to Wikipedia,Independence is, in some places, as much as fifteen feet wider than Wish, and is, indeed about eight feet taller, too)

I can’t remember exactly, but I believe we took towels off the ship for this excursion (just remember to bring them back on board or else you will get charged a fee). I also think we tried to find the quietest part of the resort to drop our bags off on a lounger unsupervised, BUT if that feels uncomfortable, I do think they have lockers for rent! Hope this helps!
