I'm 6 foot 4 inches tall. The Headrest "feels" mandatory for me at my height, but mileage will vary if you are shorter.

I got mine today as well! Just finished installing it.

How are you doing with it? It took me ages to get the adjustments just right and now I’m liking it more.

@@VidVayder it makes a great chair even better and it looks amazing. I am very pleased with it.

I'm currently waiting for delivery of my Atlas headrest, as well as the Herman Miller Embody office chair itself. I hope my patience won't be completely used up before they finally arrive. From four to six weeks. I think I can survive. Hope so.

Haha you’ll be fine. I know that exciting feeling of waiting for something special. Enjoy that excitement whilst it lasts and as Muhammed Ali said, “don’t count the days, make the days count”. I think it was him anyway. Point being, enjoy life and your chair will arrive soon enough. 👍

Mine arrived yesterday in Shanghai seven days after ordering it from the US! Agree with most of your comments. The difference in color is tiny and I'm not even sure, like you, if it's just cos the chair is six months old. They also add a blue accent to the tension knob which is pretty cool on the cyan gaming one. I'm probably just gonna use it when controller gaming as I sit upright when working, so I'll spend the next few days finding the position that works best when reclined and then just tighten everything up. I notice that you use it with your head flat against it rather than nestled in neck. I haven't quite decided which position I prefer on that one. Cheers.

Wow, that’s very quick delivery! Yes I prefer to use it for resting my head than nestling in my neck, but as you have alluded to, it’s down to preference. It is nice to have for relaxed positions but after a few months of use I find that it does tend to loosen up and requires readjusting again, so keep an eye out for that :)

@@VidVayder Yeah, the long delivery times are the problem with early adoption. One thing I forgot to say is that I think aesthetically the headrest improves the chair. Without it it looks kind of weird from the front with the really wide and deep seat but a skinny back. The headrest balances out the profile, if that's the right word.

@formulaic78 yep I understand and agree it looks better with the headrest.

Hello, thank you for your video ! i am considering adding a headrest to my embody chair, however, have concerns as the chair is quite flexible and parts are moving as you lean/recline into the chair. More specifically with the part in the back, where the herman miller logo / tag is located. The headrest is attached right below it, and i'm wondering if in any scenario it bumping/rubbing against eachother ?
@VidVayder11 ай бұрын
Hi, no it doesn’t touch that part of the chair. There is enough clearance and also that part of the headrest has a groove to make sure it doesn’t touch. I did have an issue with clicking somewhere when I had the headrest way too tightly fastened to the spine but that went away when I loosened it slightly.

Received mine, badly designed. The bottom part of the back of the chair hits the headrest support. It limits the chair movements when you lay back in it and will break. Show it with videos to Atlas and they will answer that it is normal... Buy it if you want, but know that it will limit and file the plastic...

I don’t think I noticed this, but yeah it’s not the perfect headrest but still probably better than anything else available. I do agree that Atlas should do better with their customer service too.
