Great product, really thinking out of the box and expanding possibilites for what can be possible. I think S35 and S16 film shooter will find this incredibly useful. Its a shame it couldnt be shorter physically, but its better to have it exist for those that will really find value with it.

the speed boosting capabilities of PL>PL is really cool and unique, but I'm curious what people will be able to do with the customizability of the lens mount. Seeing it in person helps to understand that the front lens PL mount is easily removable and it is mostly empty space for that section. This means it can theoretically take any lens mount, like E or LPL, and make it usable for PL film/digital cameras that need mirror clearance. Signature prime and DNA series on a 16/35mm film camera..? 🤔

Hahahah who the fck in the real world would love to make the camera 10m longer...just use a larger sensor if you are shooting at that price range. There are so many reasons not to use this in the real world. Or wait till metabones makes this 10cm

You have no idea how this works. A traditional focal reducer for PL mount already exists. The issue that some traditional PL Mount lenses have rear elements that protrude too much, and can cause issues or damage when mounting the lens onto the focal reducer. Hence why they had to create a new type of focal reducer so that all PL Mount lenses can be speed boosted.

@@AbdonPhirathon still no real life scenario and I do know the issues of flange with more compact PL FR...but making the camera 10m long will limit it to tripods and easy rigs. You have no idea how people work in the real world

All this talk about real world usage is moot when the cameras being used with this are enormous to begin with. You are not going to be running and gunning with those cameras anyway. @@AbdonPhirathon it's not about running and gunning - on larger production you would not want to risk it. If there is money you just get a Fullframe sensor. If you don't have money, you use a Speedbooster. And for that purpose - like smaller and medium productions this is way too huge. I am just not getting for whom they designed this 😂 It just looks silly.
