Fantastic models for sure, I have the HO version. 2:56 this is a bit of a typical occurance on the Raritan Valley Line, the NJT train could be imagined as a Raritan or High Bridge bound train while the two GE ET44s are leading an eastbound CSX empty unit ethanol/oil train from Philly.

Great looking models that Atlas has made. Looks like you got a good engine, 2/4 engines started off really slowly even at full throttle.

Wow, you got the n scale acela. (They do not make them anymore.) Good video!

You think NJT and UP meeting is weird, sometimes I've got a 1950s-era Canadian Pacific streamline passenger train and a modern CSX freight train on the layout at the same time. We take a little bit of modelers' license. ;) That NJT train is awesome, Atlas also makes it in HO scale. Gotta get one for my layout!

I love the catenary above and the pantograph on this engine

Don't remember if you filmed this train IRL yet, but I rode the North Jersey Coast Line from Newark to Red Bank pre-pandemic to visit a friend. Really comfy seats!
@mattkane54682 жыл бұрын
They use the same cars on the Northeast Corridor Line, but there they're usually pulled by ALP-46s instead of ALP-45DPs. And yes, the seats are quite comfortable. Not bad leg room either, a plus since I'm tall (6'6").

Going to need to fix that pantograph, no diesel under power permitted in the Hudson River Tunnels or Penn Station 😉

Be careful! Im not sure if this is only on the HO version but the airhoses are too long and sometimes hit the curves and could possibly derail it. Ive heard also to never run these on DC or the soundbox can get fried. Beautiful model!

The models are nice, however, the spacing between the cars is quite large. The overhead line might be too rigid. Not sure. When are you going to do some landscaping?

Just yestersay I bought this train. And this is one of the areas where I want to tweaks it and see what cannbe done.
@samsungh3137 Жыл бұрын
does anyone know why there is so much gap between the cars? did atlas deliberately make the couplers too long for turning purposes?
@Christiane069 Жыл бұрын
@@samsungh3137 Yea, good point. It is always possible to change the couplers. At extra cost, of course.
