Atlas V launches OTV-6 (USSF-7)

A United Launch Alliance (ULA) Atlas V 501 rocket launched the USSF-7 mission for the U.S. Space Force, the sixth flight of the X-37B Orbital Test Vehicle (OTV-6), from Space Launch Complex 41 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida, on 17 May 2020, at 13:14 UTC (09:14 EDT). Built by Boeing, the X-37B spaceplane is a reusable unmanned spacecraft (Boeing X-37B Orbital Test Vehicle explained • Boeing X-37B Orbital T... ). The mission was the 84th for an Atlas V launch vehicle and the 7th in the 501 configuration.

To be entirely honest, I think it’s a good thing that the USSF was made to differentiate and separate funds from the Air Force. That way the Air Force can’t bully NASA for making similarly powerful launch vehicles every few years. It’s lost us the funding for a lot of launch programs.

Where is that sound coming from at the ignition?

The sound of engine startup is being distorted by the microphones because of how loud it is.

The camera is far enough away to where you couldn't see the first couple seconds of ignition but they put audio with it.

Some of that sound has to do with Steel Expanding and contracting as the engine goes from Negative degrees because of the Hydrogen Fuel cooled to below zero and goes to positive 700 degrees as the fuel gets ignited and pushed through the engine. @yannniQue 17.
