A SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket launched the USSF-67 mission for the US Space Force on Jan. 15, 2023. The rocket lifted off from Launch Complex 39A at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Full Story: www.space.com/...
Several minutes after launch the side boosters touched down safely back at SpaceX's landing zones at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. The core booster was not recovered to maximize fuel availability.

Especially if SpaceX can integrate the new fusion powered Engines in 5-10 years that NASA are currently testing into the Starship/Booster vehicle. These folks have mastered the craft of rocket science and continue to break it’s envelope: efficient, reuseable, lowest cost, advanced avionics, and consistently impecable take offs, entry, reentry, and sticking the landings within inch tolerances In addition, they have figured out how to capture this complex process in a simple and relate-able “real time” way for the masses…think of all the kids that watch this and begin to dream Now compare this to Blue Origin and Virgin Galactic which have still yet to enter orbit

For me, watching these engines land is more interesting and exciting than the massive launches I watched five decades ago.

Amazing how technology has advanced. As a kid a space vehicle, or part of it landing back to earth on a spot target was the thing of movies only. Somehow I assumed it would happen.
