They have a 12 connected culvert complex design for 1.4 million so anyone could be their own overseer! Just replace some of the barrack designs with hydroponic food growing systems and have solar/wind power generators on the surface And then have a well dug underground and have a pump room add on to pump fresh water from under ground so you can last indefinitely with water, food, and power, underground! Then you just need to have sufficient defence like the settlement simulations to defend against raiders!

I’m blown away that S hasn’t improved over time. It would be one thing to start off by selling crap and then learning by trial and error... and being educated over time. In turn making much needed changes to offer your customers the best. But it seems company S started off selling a pile of crap and still to this day sells his customers piles of crap. That alone speaks volumes to the low level of your competitors character. 😣 I would image that the owner of company S’s shelter is beefed up beyond what he offers to his clients. I’m glad you’ve done this comparison video. I’m a firm believer of doing things right then first time.

My hats off to you brother especially for going around the country fixing the "competitors" shelters for people that have been screwed over by competitor "S". Keep doing what you're doing brother, preach the truth because the truth shall prevail and Lord knows if I had the money you'd be the first one I come to for a real bunker. FYI if it were me I would use the same material for the blast doors and escape tunnel hatch in substitute for the galvanized steel on the vent pipes. If the Lord ever blesses me with the money to buy my own bunker that will be the only change i would want you to make to it. I don't want anyone to be able to torch or shoot through the metal of my vent pipes as I wouldn't want them to shoot through or cut through my doors and escape hatch. That's just all about privacy and concealment. Also it would be cool to think of ways to hide the vent pipes through "bird feeders" or fake dead tree stumps or something to conceal them. Think outside the box. Otherwise good work and keep it up brother.

I was a sheet metal worker (80% of work was HVAC). I welded galvanized steel every day - and yes, oftentimes I had no choice but to breathe in the fume plume of that white zinc galvy that was burning away. Galvanized poisoning is cured with... milk. If you are in the white plume of vaporized galvanization (zinc), you will, after 5 minutes or so, feel like you have the flu. After drinking a few cups of milk, the symptoms go away. After a dozen years of welding galvy, I have not died... maybe down the road, but even IF the galvanization of Atlas Shelters does get hot or burns away in a nuclear firezone, it will not be enough "fume plume" to cause any problems whatsoever... and if you are THAT close to a nuclear fireball where the galvanized steel burns away, you're too close to ground zero in the first place. Don't worry abut the pipes being galvanized. It isn't going to be a problem... ever.

Ron, Those plastic vent pipes will get bumped by cows/animals and if they dont break off completely they will crack at the base coupler...This will then allow rainfall to seep in and start flooding the shelter. I have plans in my head for an extreme luxury bunker to protect long term for any type of apocalyptic even basically from A-Z and was thinking that the build and maybe life inside "post apocalypse" would make amazing and profitable content for youtube but finding someone with the knowledge, tools, materials, drive and funding isnt something I can do on my own. I realize the chances that you, Ron, will read this is low and a response is even lower but this could be the only chance to realize my dream. Some things this bunker include are an indoor garden, luxury showers, electric climate control, loads of storage space, actual working plumbing with septic, on demand hot water, solar and wind/water power and loads of redundancy to name a few. Try looking into a coating called "PolyEurea." P.s. The purpose of a blast, beyond removing impurities, such as milscale, is to put a profile on the surface. Think of Velcro. It doesnt stick to glass, but if you stick the barbed side against the abraided, rough side, it sticks. Blasting creates dimples, ridges, valleys, scrapes, etc. In the surface that give the paint something to hold onto. Without blasting the surface, it's like putting glue on glass. It's easy to pull off. Pour glue onto a cinder block, and you're gonna have to put in a lot more energy to take it off.

The only thing Competitor X genuinely does better than Atlas- and by "only" I _literally_ mean ONLY- is the floor plans for the modular square shelters. Atlas's modular square shelters are small cabins, whereas Competitor X has shelters of various sizes ranging from small economy shelters, to the mid-size Silver Leaf series, to luxury shelters with names like "The Presidential" and "The Aristocrat". Competitor X would go out of business if Atlas began producing the larger luxury shelters.

Those air filters are actually also in every private fallout/bomb shelter in Switzerland. Every inhabitant has a spot in a shelter, either at their home/apartment building or they have to pay the village council to maintain the public shelter.

Assuming you don't have water leaks, when you get mould, it is because there is not ADEQUATE VENTILATION to dry out or move the moisture somewhere else. In a enclosed environment like a shelter, this should ring alarm bells. I dont build shelters, but even I know this. Peace! :D

He can make it as large andd complex as you wish. You just need to provide enough money. There would be some invironmental concerns, such as the probable necessity for separate air systems for each portion of the complex - unless it was one long structure that guaranteed the air would circulate through all modules.

Correct, for the cross sectional area - flow resistance may reduce even more. The formula is pi x the square of the radius. Since pi is constant for both diameters we can ignore it to find the % increase in cross sectional area. 2 x 2 = 4 and 3 x 3 = 9, 9/4 -= 2.25 so there is more than double the cross sectional flow area. The easy way to estimate is that when you double the diameter, you quadruple the cross sectional area.

I agree yours are better. You said you haven’t seen one thing better in their bunker BUT in a video you see they have a shelf that is also a secret door making the bunker look like a storage room. You remarked that was a food idea and I like it myself if done by a competent company like yours

I’m a proficient lock picker and Atlas uses an American Puck lock which is nearly unpickable and made of hardened stainless steel with steel pins in the lock so you can NOT drill it and there is no shackle visible to cut. The other company uses a storage type lock that takes NO SKILL to pick and easy to drill in 10 seconds and easy to cut the shackle in 20 seconds. Only very very few locksmiths can pick open the lock ATLAS uses while any kid that picks up a lock pick for the first time can pick (rake) open the competitors lock EASILY!!!!

7:30 your manifold isn't just 50% more airflow, the surface area (cross section) of a 6" tube has 2.25x more cross sectional area than a 4" tube, so your system is theoretically capable of 125% more airflow. There are of course other factors needed to compare these systems in terms of capacity, but don't sell yourself short brother, your air system is heaps better than theirs!
@savoy6730

Couple questions. I love your design and passion! Why not make the water, grey and black tanks half moon to fit under the floor and provide more storage? Additionally you should accommodate for smoke on your air intake, unless the filter prevents it. I'm thinking about your drain at the first turn, great idea. But if one throws a smoke grenade in how do you prevent smoke out?

Here’s an idea...you should do a bunker raffle...like 100 bucks a ticket and sell the amount of tickets it cost to build and install. It would give us people that don’t have the money to purchase one a chance at winning one. Just a thought.
@Al13n1nV8D3R
@Al13n1nV8D3R 5 жыл бұрын
Sounds like a good idea but people who cant afford it in the first place don't have enough money to buy 1,000s of tickets to make it even remotely possible to win. People who probably could afford to buy a bunker outright can buy 5,000 tickets and therefore will have a higher chance of winning. Unless you put a limit to how many tickets one person is allowed to buy. Rich people will always be ahead of us poor folk.

i love your bunkers!💖🥰 my concerns are the entrance and the air pipe/systems.. would you be able build the entrance and the air pipe covered it with dirt, like make it part of a "grass, moss, tree, etc...camouflaged it! as much as possible, "not expose" the entry way, once you're inside unlike on the other video when all you have is a tarp, old wooden patio table as coverage. next, the air filters, if the SHTF lasts pass the 18 months date of your filters...HOPEFULLY NOT🙏...what would happen then if there is no way for you guys to come and replace it for your customers. can you stock up on them and teach your customers DIY INSTALLATIONS?
@buggsy5

I believe a 6in duct has the ability to flow twice the CFM of a 5 inch duct so a 4in vs. 6in would be more than double the capability, not 50% more.
