Correction: There is a target lock system. it's on the middle mouse click for some reason. It can help out a lot. You can also rebind that in the control settings

Back during the alpha versions I think the target lock is put to the right mouse button instead, which made it pretty easy to immediately lock on the go for keyboard

Races are almost totally cosmetic, You can get their skills in game on any race so it doesn't matter what you pick.

It's way too early for a full review or deep dive, hopefully this suffices for now. Correction: I said that strength influences bow damage, I was using a strength enchanted bow and forgot. Dex does effect bow damage. Also the sparkly star effect you see in the water is something my recording software is doing. I had "allow transparency" on and the water uses transparency caused my background behind it to be shown.

@@SerasThings Hi Sera. I noticed you mention in your video that you got a hate raid of anti furries that were insistent that this furry game is pr0n despite everyone wearing clothing. Those people are not an isolated incident. Other furries have been reporting them since the Twitch Hate Raids of 2021. They're called "Outrage Tourists". None of them play games, they just want to hurt people who say/play/do/think anything they deem "WOKE". They seem to be really hypocritical as they hate politics but are obsessed with making everything pollical & about them & their specific desires. They have even gone so far as to make a list of media that's "too WOKE" that is so limiting that even "a character acknowledging a non-white human man" is too much for them to handle. They have been around since the 2010s but they really started to become more loud & attention demanding after The Pandemic. If you see a group of them, ban them instantly & don't engage with them. They will try to ruin everything the second you notice them. Just thought I'd let you know about that Sera. Thanks for the great review. (Now I just need to get a Steam account so I can buy & play it).

Gotta agree, Atlyss is totally one of the best $10 I've ever spent. I think part of what makes it so good is that under the suggestive furry aspects, it's still an incredibly solid game with good gameplay mechanics, to the point where even non furries could plausibly enjoy it. It's also absurdly fun to just hop in a VC and skedaddle around in a party with friends :) PS. Sorry I accidentally said /emote instead of /emotes on stream last night. I had just gotten off of it after playing for six hours straight and my brain was fried lol

5:30 oh fun fact, while you are stuck with the race you can actually get the other races' starting abilities from scrolls. I play a Kubold fighter but use the Chang's sturdy ability.

tbh this game doesn't look any more horny than WoW or Genshin. People are just weird about it cuz chubby shortstacks aren't a 'normal' thing to be attracted to. if it was all skinny elfin women, nobody would bat an eye. Anyways, it's nice to have a proper furry mmo! A lot of games that try to fill that niche just end up being fancy, glorified chatrooms without actual gameplay

After I soloing my first character, I learned that you can leave stuff in the storage and have other characters grab it. So I level up all my other characters very easily.

I have only played Atlyss for a little while but I quite like it so far. Good gameplay/gamefeel(for me at least) and great character customisation. Oh, and nice choice of music for the video, Sera's Things! A Hat in Time and FlipWitch are two entirely different games but both have EXCELLENT tunes

Also note on offclass weapons: You can get stones as drops that allow you to change the scaling type of the weapon to your desired one, so you could get a warrior type bell basically when bells are normally a mage weapon. And there is a lockon system (but the game says its on m3 and no other mouse button for me works for it, so whatever. but you can rebind it)

I just wanna say that strength affecting bows actually makes perfect sense! After all; bows have heavy draw weights, you'd want to be strong to use one. Meanwhile, you could argue that dex should be used for most swords... But I just found out about this game because people were posting about the goat mom, then their characters' butts, I saw that speedrun, and. Huh. Between this and Pseudoregalia, that's two years in a row with low-poly indie games with goat moms that people are normal about.

Also should note- all starting skills can be found in game as scrolls. (So if ya farm hard enough/get lucky you can find those op starting skills and plop em on a preferred race)

Not sure if you already found about it, but there is a lock-on, which really helps when playing ranged and you have to focus on dodging. It's mouse 3 by default.

Bows scale off of Dex Power but deals Physical Damage. However you can change the scaling of the weapon by infusing it with Stones like Agility Stones for Dex, Flux Stones for Mind, and Might Stones for Strength.

Something that I feel should be noted is that sometimes the game would just spam many enemies at you Which, while it makes sense in multiplayer, in a solo experience you tend to get beaten up and thrown around very easily if you aren't ready for them

Important thing to note is that, the initial skills are not locked to the race itself, they can all be acquired later in the game, so the decision based on the initial skills only really matter on the early game

People saying Atlyss is a porn game are the porn addicts that the warning at the start of the game is for, the game has suggestive armor, that is correct, but there are no sexual innuendos in the game, unless you have a very creative mind and even then its very limited. Aside the ability to create thicc female characters, the game is a neat action MORPG (Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game, because its not massive yet)

The reason why the NPCs are taller than the player is because they're Guardians. Not sure about Sally but, Angela and the one for Fighters, Enok are definitely Guardians.

Idk if things have changed since the alpha but when I played solo in the alpha it… wasn’t hard. Like at all. I just dodged back a lot , constantly facing the enemies and firing, and won every encounter.

I'd argue the auto crit ability is better on two hand fighters so you can land powerful super attack. That being said, no one really needs to focus on the skills the races start with because you can find the others as acrolls as you play. So just play what you want :)

I don't know about some of the things you said. I had a bit of a learning curve getting into the game, but after getting my bearings I can say that you can Solo pretty much any content in the game on level with the right builds and playstyle. currently only got there with Bow, Bell and Staff, but I've seen plenty of melee people who have the reflexes and mechanics to BS their way out of a crowd of enemies. 1 note for early Mystic, take recovery until you have the level for Restora the re-skill book is only about 1.5k crowns and don't bother with Nova you will get the same QoL from Cross or Fluxspear without the positional nightmare.

Adult elements behind, this game has me feeling like a kid again, it's just complicated and quick paced enough to keep me coming back to want to try again, as well as challenging myself be going no vitality, but the limitations keep it easy enough for me to understand anald manage, I've never felt overwhelmed playing this game by things I shouldn't, only by the combat, which imo should be the gold standard. Also I just love being able to make my character look cute and I want to hug mine.
