Ultimine is a god send for speeding up early game and the external storage with drawers is sooo good before the grind for infinite storage disk. If you enjoy AE2 there is an equivalent to the external storage in that mod too!

Another really useful tip : set up an apotheosis library . the item will allow you to store all the enchanted book you have with a single block . each enchanted book is converted to points which depend on the enchatnment level ( lvl 1 is 1 point , lvl 5 is 512 points , for example ) . you can also extract all the enchantment you want in one single book with no additional cost on exp. this, for example allows you to get a sword with like 20-30 enchatnments and only 10 xp spent in order to apply the book to the sword . note that incompatible enchantment will be voided when applied. however i noticed that some enchantments boosts up the xp cost for enchantment application, therefore you will need to tweak a little bit before setting up the right one.

Its not really a beginner trick but it's definitely very useful! I did an episode on the apotheosis library of alexandria recently, it always annoyed me that no one shows the exact recipe for how to make it. So I figured it out 😁 it's episode 78 of my atm8 series if anyone is interested 😉

At Tip #3, just a tip to that tip - you can actually make blue dye from some flowers(Such as Cornflower) - skip the 1-use and just go straight for blueprints. Everything you need to skip from the 1-use is harvestable w/ just hands and readily available on the surface

- Run away from pillager towers - Use FTBUltimine - Use Silent Gear - Use the Nature's Compass - Obtain early game flight with the witches broom from the hexerei mod. (In Swamp, use the natures compass) - Hammocks can help you sleep through the day, night, and can stop rain - Use Jetpacks! - Use Freerunners! - Use Waystones, they have a high chance to appear in a village. This makes travel instant. - Melons in hopper botany pots are a good way to make energy - Use Flux networks for wireless charging (Flux controllers help too) - Osmium gear is stronger than diamond (except the pickaxe) - Make a precision sawmill to turn sticks into saw dust, 4 sawdust makes a cardboard box. Cardboard boxes can move spawners. - When it turns night on a journey, craft a sleeping bag with just 3 wool. They don't set your spawnpoint. - Raid roguelike dungeons for spawners. Better spawners appear the deeper you go in the dungeon. (Enderman and Wither Skeleton spawners) - Use the /home command to instantly be teleported home. You can set your home with the command /sethome. If you want to go back to where you were before the teleport, you can use the command /back (This command also works when you die) - It's a good idea to take as many spawners as you can from a roguelike dungeon - Apothesis Spawner manipulation: Comparators stop the mobs from spawning and can be controlled using redstone Sugar reduces the minimum spawn delay by 10 per use A nether star makes it spawn even if no players are nearby Lanturns make spawners ignore the light level in the area Ghast tears +2 more entities Fermented spider eyes increase the spawn count by 1 Wool makes the mobs that come out of spawners silent Chorus Fruit makes the mobs that come out of spawners have no AI (Mobs wont do anything such as moving, looking, attacking, and just about anything that they do) Prismarine Crystals increase the activation range of the spawner by 2 (Much more useful if you don't have a nether star) Clocks reduce the max spawn delay by 10 per use Dragon egg ignores spawn conditions (More useful if you have a slime spawner) Blaze rods increases the range that the mobs will spawn (They will have a much larger area to spawn in) Holding a nether quartz in your off hand while holding one of the items listed above, it will do the opposite of what that item normally does without nether quartz (Incase you make a mistake) - You can make mob spawn eggs by using a Mob Swab on a mob to get their DNA, combine this with an XP fluid bucket (Obtainable from an xp drain, standing ontop of it so it drains your XP, and using a bucket to scoop it up), and any type of seed will create GM chicken feed. If you use the GM chicken feed and you feed it to an adult chicken, it will explode and give you 1 single spawn egg of the creature you used the Mob Swab on. - Spawn eggs can be used on spawners to change what mob will come out of the spawner - The create mod has useful redstone tools, such as the Redstone Link. It is used for wireless redstone (You need 2 of them for them to function. Put one for submitting signals, and one on the object to be powered). -Vindicators and Evokers give large amounts of emeralds, so it is advised to obtain their chicken feed as soon as possible if you want to ge the ATM Star (The ATM Star is an item that lets you go into creative mode) - Mixers from the create mod dont use any hammer durability, this can be manipulated to get double the amount of ores - Evilcraft mod is good for beginners (A good pickaxe called the Vengence Pickaxe can be made in this mod. It has Fortune 5, but has an annoying curse that causes sprits to attack you. The pickaxe can lose it's curse if you put blood in a Purifier and put the pickaxe in the purifier with the blood. It is the same level as Diamond.). - Another useful item in the EvilCraft mod is the Blook. It is made with a book and Promise of Tendency I, with 500 mb of blood in a blood infuser. The blook strips enchants off of a tool and puts them on an enchanted book. This uses up the blook. - Allthemodium can be found in the deep dark biome. (use the nature's compass) - Allthemodium must be mined with a netherite pickaxe. Fortune does work on Allthemodium. - A teleporter pad (Made with an ender pearl and 4 allthemodium nuggets) can teleport you to a mining dimension. This mining dimension has a very large amout of Allthemodium ore. - Allthemodium cannot be mined with a chunk destroyer or any automation. It can uncover it though. - Using laser drills with yellow laser lenses is the best way to get allthemodium. - The FIRST priority is to try and obtain an infinite storage disc, the SECOND should be the ATM star. - External storage links to a storage controller for cheap storage. - Feral Flate lanturns are great for lighting up a large amount of space, plus they are cheap. Mega torches work great too.

The cardboard box is just extra work, make yourself a silk touch pick and you can mine them directly. Silent Gear makes this really cheap and easy via brass tools, brass adds a silk touch trait without having to mess around with enchanting.

Awesome vid, lots of good points. One tip from me: Acceleration wands from Roots Classic. They speed up the tick rate of blocks and the effect does stack. I used them on my furnace and my botany pots which are growing all kinds of regular and mystical agriculture crops at ridiculous speeds. Super cheap and easy to get into (endstone being the biggest gatekeep).

Very nice video. A few more I've picked up (I'm still relatively early game): For refined storage you're gonna need a lot of quartz, which is pretty painful in the early game. The jetpacks don't really hold enough charge to be useful until Silver tier or above. You will use a lot of iron, more than any other ore. Vanilla iron farms are viable here (and so much easier to move villagers with a Mob Yoinker) Your first netherite should go into a Charm of NetheriteSight. It will get you clear over a stack more before even half durability The Chemistry mod can help you with _so many_ random crafting items (though I am literally a chemist so it might easier for me to understand lol) Apotheosis armour and tools are _insane_ . I picked up 3 different Fortune V diamond pickaxes.

I don't think that nether comment is very good early but for getting refined working I found mystical seeds for nether quartz in botany pots was good enough. Both the nether quartz seeds and the quartz iron seeds are very useful...nether quartz, silicon and dye seeds were my first 3 (the create dough to slimeball route). I forget the name of it but there is a farm tool you put in the water and it auto-harvests a 9x9 area and deposits to a chest/barrel on top of it without needing FE (uses durability on hoes you insert). My 4th seed was refined obsidian to make a bunch of mattocks with and my 2nd and 3rd ATM ores (and a few more) went to hoes so I never have to think about it again (the 1st gets you to the mining dimension and crafts a builder to make a clearing fortune quarry). @CalmRag The mining dimension works; Pilpoh has clearly mined out an area 50x100 chunks already which would do it. I am aiming to try setting up a refined storage crafter that uses the combiner to auto-craft diamond ore and then constructor to place the blocks for a fortune quarry to mine them repeatedly... If it works I have actual infinite diamonds (and emeralds and any other ores that I put in a combiner recipe. Technically bees and mystical seeds already do it but they would be slow in comparison.

Not sure if I can pick a favorite tip, but I have to say I love the tip about getting fortune 5 early. As well as ore doubling. I just started my world last night and getting enough gold, iron, and redstone has been a real drag. Those tips will save me so much time and effort going forward! Thank you!

Easy fortune is a must have with the lack of iron in this pack 😁 it all gets easier when you get to the mining dimension but before then it's such a pain!

I realize I'm a bit late to this, but I would highly encourage using occultism for ore multiplication. Doubling is a bit more expensive that some other things, but you can triple far more easily than mekanism. At the late game, it multiply ores SIX FOLD! if you've got a source of raw ore, you can also use a mechanical squeezer to multiply it even further for even more ingots.

When I started only iron, copper, gold and silver were available for occultism crushing spirt so I completely forgot about it! Very easy ore doubling at the start and you can shrink the 6xers later and have a ton of them 6xing your ore 😁 I would just say that later on, at least in my experience, getting ores at a high rate is easier than 6xing your ore. Quantity over quality if you know what I mean.

Blook from Evilcraft is nice. I haven't personally used it as I started using Corail Tombstones. But once you are mid-game and have reliable energy, using machines to strip enchants is probably going to be best. The Enchantment Extractor, Factory and Applicator from Industrial Foregoing are quite cheap. Not hard to get to. VERY good once you've got yourself some Apotheosis spawners operational.

When I started ATM8 Industrial Foregoing was not yet updated so it looked like evil craft was my best option. The Enchantment extractor is the first thing I always go for in IF because of the functionality you mentioned! I’m super late here but here are a few, number one is a banger. 1. God forged pearls can be farmed very easily by swabbing a ‘forgotten’, he is a nasty skeleton variant from quark, he has glow in the dark bow, quiver and sword and his arrows blind you. You’ll find him in a dark corner of a cave at deep slate level. He’s very tough, zoomin with a jet pack, swab him and get out of there. A spawner in the overworld will only generate his hats in the first three apotheosis colours, grey, green and blue. But if you put the spawner in another dimension (ie compact machine) he will also drop the purple and orange helmets. You can filter them by dragging a forgotten hat into a filter in a pipez cable and the go the the tags text field and paste this in {affix_data:{rarity:"mythic"}} AFK a couple hours and you’ll have a couple stacks of god pearls. And a tough decision about which helmet to keep for yourself, you’ll have some amazing ones. 2. Do not start a mine colony. Mine colonies is really cool but I don’t think it fits atm8 well at all. It will take over your game and bring your highly specced new computer to its knees. 3. If you really want to start a mine colony then leave it til really late game when you have all the resources. And then don’t do it. 4. If you really want to start a mine colony then limit its population right from the start. The best way to do this is don’t build the tavern. Don’t do it. 5. I do like mine colonies. But I have restarted at atm8 several times from scratch because I foolishly started a mine colony. 6. You must save your game and quit and relaunch minecraft periodically. I have a habit of just pausing the game and leaving it running. Atm8 leaks memory, a lot. When your game is getting very laggy a quit and relaunch is often all it takes. Enjoy.

7. Observable will show you exactly where the lag is coming from, running the observerable every so often will help keep your world in a less laggy state 😁 I've learnt a lot since ive done this just by playing multiplayer with my paterons! Minecolonies is great for single player IF the pack is focused around Minecolonies but as you said, it doesnt quite fit ATM8 unfortunately ☹️

@@Pilpoh yeah I bet keeping a server going would be very educational, I’m tipping nobody started a mine colony 🤪. I like that mod a lot too, it can teach you a great deal about building. But as you know the biggest challenge with Atm8 is keeping it from bogging down, you can’t get too greedy with any one thing if you want to do it all. I’d like to try a colony after I’m king of the world, vaults full of every resource, bees pooping star shards etc.. then shut everything down except one reactor and storage computer and build a city. I’d like to see how productive they could be on a nice virginal patch of the mining dimension. I’ve also thought about trying one in space, maybe see if they can breathe on the moon or on mars.

One tip I never see: FOOD! Eat at least one of everything that's edible! I see so many creators that run around with a stack of toast or baked potatoes and never eat anything else. Their hearts are only red which is only one row of hearts and They're scared to fight anything when they could VERY easily have 2-3 rows of hearts! I also read not to use ultimine if your going for fortune on something because if you get a bad fortune roll it will be bad for all the blocks. I haven't tested or verified that but something to keep in mind maybe.

You can only get 1 row of hearts from food unfortunately but its still a great tip! I've heard that about fortune too however I would always suggest quantity over quality for ores if you catch my drift 😉 you saw all the ATM ore we have in the mining dimension 🤣

For ae take advantage at drawers for bulk storage. Drawers in this pack hold millions even 2x2 drawers with the netherite upgrades. Remember to lock drawers and set high priority on the external storage.

I mention the drawers in the little cheeky 3 tips after the outro, very useful for both RS and AE2. Can be removed after the infinite storage disk if going RS HOWEVER I kept my compacting drawers for all the diamonds and iron ect because it means there is no need for a crafting recipe. Less work = More better 😉

Digital Miner Silk Touch to Integrated Dynamics Mechanical Squeezer, turns one iron ore into 3-5 raw. Then use the Mekanism chain with at least Purifcation Chamber which is still doubling the raw. It's pretty crazy getting 6-10 ingots per one silk touched iron ore.

It used to be around 8 raw you would get which was ridiculous! I thought they removed the squeezer recipe's for silk touched blocks 🤔 Maybe they balanced them and added them back!? I'll go check when I can!

A sidenote of the /home command. It WONT protect you from fall damage lol. If you /home while falling a certain death height, you will teleport home, but you will still take the fall damage from where you tele'd from.

The enchantment extractor from industrial foregoing is many times better than using blooks. Relatively early game (before the dragon or ATM ore) you should set up an enchantment library (the first one, not the infused one) and an enchantment extractor and a few anvils and an XP farm. Then spend levels to get random enchants, extract with the extractor and insert into the library and put the best ones on your gear using the anvils via 1 book. Also Apotheosis Reforging is stupid broken. Take your decent unenchanted gear and get it reforged and then socket gems and then add enchantments from your library. Then go hunting mythics and come back, and make your gear even better. 4 more early game: 1. bunny slippers are awesome (artifact feet slot to prevent fall damage) and I found them in the weather tower things; 2. silent gear rings and bracelets are nice; an iron ring/bracelet is a magnet in those slots (which you probably aren't using for a while) and then a "dimerald" adornment gives night vision (I've got an azure silver dimerald ring right now that lets me jump 8 blocks in the air and see in the dark); 3. make a couple of backpacks and dye them different colors; you can hold them in your hand and get extra storage... I have a diamond one on my back and 4 golds on my hotbar for various things I pick up while adventuring with different upgrades in them including crafting and smelting; and finally 4. smelt bread into toast.

Wow! These are some banging tips! I'd maybe say the enchant extractor is more of a midgame machine but 100% worth it. The bunny slippers are really good for the no fall damage if you can find them 😉 the kitty slipper make creepers run away from you 🙂

Apotheosis bosses can be easy to kill if they're blue starting out, and then just focus on health crystals for the socket slots. Got a full set of Mythical netherite armor from farming the main end island. I have more than 35 armor points, and my armor gives me an additional 4 rows of hearts without any vitality enchantments. Most apotheosis armor also has special skills, like giving you Regen or resistance, along with additional protections like 43% fall damage reduction You also should mention Ars Nouveau, as it's very cheap to get into, and makes getting around and mining in the early game a breeze

Apoth armour wasn't in when I was beginning the pack so it past me by so I glad someone mentioned it 😁 Ars has a spell that does silk touch at range according to my other commentors, this is great for getting spawner if you don't want to do mekanism yet. Definitely should have mentioned Ars! The video would have been even longer if I did though 🤣

It's also very useful because you can cast magelight and never need torches again, and you can make it into a projectile and place those magelights anywhere.

love the tips, was going nuts looking for vein mining options. Pro tip: You can convert a vanilla tool like a pickaxe into a Silent gear tool simply by placing it in a crafting grid. no neeed for a template in early game :)

I always end up using Ars just to get the magelight and never have to worry about torches again, and I also get it so I can fire the spell and thus place them anywhere. I would also suggest you consider skipping silent gear and go with Ars instead becsuse you won't have to worry about durability, and once you get amplify you've essentially got a diamond level paxel with infinite durability that you can fire at distant blocks. Sure silent gear has extra effects you can benefit from, but nothing beats being able to fire the break spell at ore out of your reach and having your magnet pull the items in. If you find enough gold you can make the enchanting setup and get the robes for more mana, and then easily make your break spell break in a 2x2, 3x3 or even more depending on if you're willing to spend the mana.

@@Pilpoh i think the osmium armor being better than diamond was pretty useful. Also the mobgrinding utils way of getting a spawn egg is a lifesaver. I always use the capturing enchant.

idk if it wasnt a thing a year ago but put down 1 obsidian throw your enchanted item and a book on it and drop a anvil on it that will strip enchants aswell, and fortune 5 is easy to get with easy villagers + villager hat that makes everything cheap

There's also a (relatively) easy early game way of disenchanting items... Well, sort of the later stage of early game, I guess. And that's throwing your enchanted item together with vanilla books, on top of an obsidian block (you can just do the Ice Bucket Challenge, you don't even need a diamond pick), then dropping an anvil on them. You will need to get further into some mods if you want to get some decent apotheosis high level enchants. For vanilla level enchants (up to Fortune III, Sharpness V and such), and enchants without a level (Soulbound, Silk Touch) you can use the Industrial Foregoing Disenchanter, and they might have fixed it in the meantime, but it used to be that if you tried to disenchant an item with a high level apotheosis enchantment, it would give you the maximum vanilla level enchant on the book, so you can lose up to 4-5 levels that way. If you get into Botania, with the Mana Enchanter, you can apply several enchants at the same time, and it just "reads" the books, it doesn't consume them, so you can reuse them. This is all mid to late game stuff, but the point is, if you want to use enchantments later on, preserve them as early and as far as you're able to.

Also, I only thought about this after I finished writing, but if you want to get the ores from Allthemodium faster, and you don't feel like destroying chunks in the mining dimension, once you get the first ore, you can either smelt the raw ore, or double it with an ore hammer, but with the first ingot, craft the corresponding Oresight charm. Among others, you'll need one diamond and one ender pearl for the calcinated metal dust, but if you're thinking about Allthemodium gear, you should probably have these already. The charm highlights the ores in a given range, and can be turned off and preserved. But most likely, if you're playing any ATM modpack, in order to automate the stars, after the first few ingots you're probably going to want to farm them with something like Mystical Agriculture, so realistically, you only really need one charm for each metal.

You should use create to make bread more efficiently using the grindstone to make flour, which you wash to make dough and then smelt to make bread. It means you get 1 bread oer wheat instrad of 1 bread for 3 wheat.

Check the mods folder. When I updated via GDLauncher I discovered I had a ton of past-version duplicates of the jar files for the mods that were supposed to be in the pack. It was highly annoying to go through and delete the older versions, but after I did that all the crashes went away.

Evilcraft is pretty unknown but has been around for like 8 years! Not many packs include it and I'm not sure why 🤔 Once you get the Starry bee and a ATM star block you can rip all your automations down that you may have set up for the star too! Great mechanic and it also means you don't HAVE to automate everything, you can manually do some things 18 times 😁 If you got any other tips let me know! I learn so much just from comments you all give me!

They do! I have 3 set up. One in the deep dark, one in the neather (warped forest) and one in the end (highlands). They each need different laser lenses and the level (which can be set in the laser) needs to be set but jei will tell you what to set up. 😁

There is also the ore processing from mekanism that can turn each raw into lots of ingots however that's not an early game set up in my opinion. My suggestion in this pack specifically is to go for quantity of ores (with a chunk destroyer in the mining dim) over ore duplication because its easier to set up. I personally don't even double now, I just straight smelt the raw stuff 🤣

How do you handle NBT items with refined storage? Honestly, I void anything that I don't want to keep from my mob farms so I don't get much armour/weapons from there and unless it's really decent I've started smoooshing all my Apoth stuff in to get the essence. That is manual though which is a bit of a poo but I don't seem to get much of it. I don't even strip the enchants most of the time! I smooshed most of my gems for the 2 ATM blocks but I am getting more and more of them thanks to the loot piñata perk. I think I am going to add them to a few huge chests with some exact mod off exporters and collect and smoosh them unless they are at 100%. Sorry for the long comment! 😁

Use the armoury cabinet from functional storage, set it to a high priority external storage and it’ll suck up most non stackables, tools, armour, weapons, apotheosis gems, enchanted books,potions. The warning is about having these things on the disk drives, not in the system. Best.

It’s easy in this pack because you’re using Powah. It was more complicated in ATM 7 since you needed to use Tinkers and the ingot ooldown was a bottleneck. W/ Powah jair give it a lot of power and use LaserIO to feed it the items.

Not for the ATM Star unfortunately! The Star requires you to create it using Create crafters. Everything else that has a basic recipe can be auto crafted in many different ways. The four i can think of of the top of my head are as follows: Refined Storage Crafters (I have a 2 part refined storage guide that may help) Applied Energistics 2 (similar to Refined Storage) RFTools Crafters Thermal Fabricators 🤔

Setting up a spawner is easier in some cases and it offers you more drops. The beheading upgrades in the mob grinding utils grinder is really useful for wither skeleton, looting upgrades are just good overall exc. 😉
