Thanks for another great video! So much work for iron ingot!! Better not be in a rush to the end game :) Is there a way to automate the iron production later on?

There is no rushing this! Now I have to find graphite and kaolite to progress to steel. Haven’t seen any so far. Thank you! I do believe things are automatable as there are lots of mods like create, IE, AE2. Ex nihilo, etc. they are all gated behind at least iron.

​@@ilikegames828 Late(ish) reply, but heated items in your inventory heat you up. Combine that with the warm weather and low hydration, and you get heatstroke. Funny enough, I am genuinely considering the idea of holding onto a vessel filled completely with metal, heated as much as I can, as sort of a "handwarmer" for when winter rolls around in my world, I picked a spot fairly north to live before realizing the average temperature for the area is 0 and I don't feel like moving lol EDIT: I am going off the assumption that a vessel with 3000 mB of metal cools slower than a vessel with 10 mB of metal, I remember it acting that way when I was casting a full 30 black bronze ingots but I could be wrong. I also wonder if the exact metal inside changes how fast it warms/cools, just not enough to test it- EDIT EDIT: Just mentioning that normal native gold ore heated up faster than native silver ore, and melted first, despite having a higher melting point than silver. Not sure if the same is true in a vessel, but damn, there's a lot more to the temperature mechanic than it seems.

Quick turnaround indeed! Nice example of why even summer is hard in TFC. You will need to make some silk clothing to cool off. Thanks for the bloomery examples... We will have to work out if using the charcoal to create ingots first is worth the time and charcoal savings of using them in the bloomery. I am thinking yes, but will do some experimenting and see if I can work that out. Again, you amaze me with the cool finds. Diamond boots and now a FANCY pick axe. Well deserved.

The deaths are a bit humbling because I’m always playing hardcore in my head. Though I feel like showing some “dumb ways to die” are pretty useful 😅 The time vs charcoal equation will certainly change with automation. It takes a long time to fill up a charcoal pit, so that must be accounted for as well. I am feeling a bit lucky on those bosses. Keep an eye out for stone bricks. 2 out of three were visible from the surface, albeit down in holes in the ground. And spawners with chests under them as well. It pays to leave the house!

@@jangrogames Good tips; I will keep my eyes open; the cost of efficiency in some areas comes at the cost of exploration... I have the bloomery, sheep, mines for iron, copper, zinc, bismuth, and a nice farm before the first winter... but I haven't found any dungeons, chests, or andesite. It is always a trade off!
