I also remember reading a commenter about using evil craft(?? I think that is the right mod, can be wrong) water source that works really good to, and will push the water into the machine skipping that step. /shrug never used it personally I also was a slacker and used intergrated dynamics all the while going why don't all mods allow this kind of speed and flexibility. Of course could build out a sodium solution, would be fun to see him actually do that.

You comforted me when I was an awkward, sad, scared, lonely teenager playing modded minecraft; you relaxed me when I went through college, dropped out, and took my own path. Years coming back to your dedication to a game that will never cease to make me smile- and now, as democracy seemingly collapses around me, I find myself here again for comfort. Thank you Direwolf20, for being a constant in a world so full of change. ❤️

Dire remembers that mekanism reactor/turbine auto outputs and cables/pipes/tubes can passively accept/output total pipeline capacity/tick, so 10 ultimate tubes would be 10.240.000mb/t and so on
@tienmiljoenmiljard14 сағат бұрын
Only if the pipes are not set to extract mode. On extract mode it limits to 32.000 mb/t as listed.
@loff_xdd14 сағат бұрын
@tienmiljoenmiljard well yes, but as I said turbine and reactor ports auto autput so in this case shouldn't matter 👍

9:28 The bounding cubes you click for mekanism blocks are excessively detailed, so you can click on the side of a gap by accident. Minecraft sees you clicked on the north face of a cube, and places the block to the north.

LONG time viewer here, like 1.2 era maybe1.3. Ive always been curious how youve kept up a daily life while also uploading every day. I cant recall a time you missed an upload. So how do you do it? Set aside a couple long days each week? Record for like an hour every day? How do you do it dire?
@azuroth860922 сағат бұрын
i've noticed over time, that he tends to chunk recordings. 3-4 videos per play session, it seems. if you pay enough attention, several videos will more or less end RIGHT where he left off in the last one. My guess is he take 2-3 days a week to record his play through, gets maybe a week's worth of video out of them. They don't require much editing, so they can go straight to YT from there, and then staged for release.
@tuneduptechie22 сағат бұрын
@azuroth8609 that's my guess to. It's always blown my mind how he's able to do it. Consistently for over a decade to. I'm not going to lie, I thought at some point he was just going to stop. But here we are in 2025 and he's still going regardless of how many views he gets. It's awesome to see.

it is "technically correct" that Dire hasn't missed a day uploading ...late a few times but never not uploaded ...technically. He did get back later from a work trip than expected one year, backlog ended and he didn't have time/energy/desire* to record.... so he did a quick Direnews and uploaded that. * priorities... been away a week or so and put family first as he should.

Really curious what Dire does with the Solar Neutron Activator. It doesn't work in the pocket dimension...and moving radioactive waste is a big pain. I'm trying to use the Entangling mod but you have to go down the road of productive bees to get the materials for it. AE2 doesn't seem to want to handle the waste itself.
@MrDarkDragone13 сағат бұрын
I had to use two entangled blocks myself, tried to use just one with the solar neuron activator but needed to get the polonium back in and the pressurized tubes wouldn't get polonium in them unless I set them to extract, but then they would also get nuclear waste...
@Wyvernnnn8 сағат бұрын
There's radioactive cells you can make in ATM10, they hold 2000 of one type of waste and just need to be filtered on a specific type of radioactive chemical in the cell workbench

not sure if it's a weirdness with modpack versions or what, but if you mechanical squeezer the yellorite ore, it should give you raw uranium (at least 3 with chance for up to 5, which is close enough to max fortune enchant - which is ~5 per ore on average)
@anate353521 сағат бұрын
Hey dire, strong recommendation here. I would make an episode in the near future of just building a super seed farm. That way you don’t have to fight for materials when you want to do things. Make storage bins hold ridiculous amounts of items even if you may not need them, what’s the harm? Just a recommendation hope you feel better!

My God, I don't have the brain power to work out an efficient way to automate the Ender Dragon with JustDireThings. If you could, in this series automate the dragon using your mod's (JDT and LaserIO) with stasis chamber. Also look into adding a toggle inverter switch for JDT machines when sensing allow there to be redstone on when sensing or redstone off when sensing. Thank you Direwolf20, Hope you get better soon!

9:28 Mek models are complex, and if you place on a facet of the model then the block placed ends up in a weird place. In this case, you were pointing at the channel down the middle of the model so it acted like you were clicking on a side.

Hey Dire. Dont forget the gas upgrade for mekanism machines. Worthwhile using where possible with the fissile fuel processing system

You are on episode 48 and you still haven't used an ender chest or tank yet for your AE2 system. I know you have cross dimension AE access, but attaching an ender chest to your miner and then the other going to your ore breaker would make the back and forth trips not needed. You could also just turn off the filter and mine out all of the ore and auto process it.
@releejr02517 сағат бұрын
When he got to that point ender chests didn’t exist in the pack. I guess he has never gone back and checked
@steveheffner17 сағат бұрын
Yea I use ender chests and tanks heavily to move resources around to my central processing. Different colors(channels) for different purposes. Do love the dyes from mystical, dyes in general are just so annoying without that. I just viewed them as a kiss approach. Easy to implement, segregate and process oh and no power needed to use as a neat perk not that power is a huge issue. Well when fusion reactor is built even less so.

Oh dear, is the auto-shutoff circuit cover all possible problems? Cause if it isn't, yeah...
@fuj1n21 сағат бұрын
Most problems will manifest as high temperature, so it should be good enough. The biggest one that won't be covered by it is excess waste, which as long as he sets up waste processing correctly (though not sure how he'll solar neutron activate the waste in a compact machine), he'll be fine
@ockerspock343221 сағат бұрын
kind of.... heat buildup is the normal result of any problem. But I always add a waste barrel with a comparator to the circuit ....if the barrel 3/4 fills the reactor stops.
@ydziros21 сағат бұрын
@@fuj1ndoes laserio manage waste transfer safely? If yes, it does have an interdimentional node iirc. Just send it to mining dim for permanent sun. Or possibly compact machines walls are technically transparent and it's also permanent day (seem to remember that was a behaviour at some point, but I also might be wrong on that)

I love writing boolean code and figuring it all out, but for some reason I just cannot watch someone do it. I love solving the puzzle that is getting boolean to work. There is always at least one episode of DW20 doing it in every one of his LPs. Better than the old computer craft days which had entire episodes of it, and that he has some of these things saved and can just paste them in. There is the other mod I cannot think of write now that has a lot of code based stuff to it. It has all of the different cards you put in, and everything seems to be blue (or purple I am color-blind). I just have to skip the episodes when he plays with that mod.

I remember the first time I played with super factory manager. When I started I thought it was a neat new toy. By the end of my playthrough I had revamped most things to use it, finding it to be less laggy in the way it handled things and moving huge quantities of items all around. Yea I do get the whole not wanting to watch others and create on my own. After I do then I can tolerate seeing how others approach the same problem. Just don't be in the same room as me, cause I will be commenting all the time! LOL funny actually but still.
