for emc: cobblestone has emc, so you can use a cobblegen to feed the chest, and from it you can get many resources that are annoying to automate: Glass, Clay BLOCKS, Terracota(all colors), wood&planks of all variety, wool, mob drops(notably phantom membrane, blaze rods and ender pearls), raw/cooked food(steak or pork chops), basic stones types(like ANDERSITE! or deepslate). I use them, with a gold cobblegen, to make myself drawers of the stuff for auto-crafting. All the mats that would either take some big create contraption, a mob farm in the nether, or lots of tech-ing to get). They are a great way to automate early resources that cannot be obtained from sieving.. And they are cheap so you can make multiple.

AEFlux gets you RIDICULOUS power storage. pretty much the largest batteries possible and allows the transfer of RF through Pattern providers and interfaces which lets you do one face item and power transfer.

the quartz yield is better if you wash soul sand using a fan (lower chance but gives more resources per success), make soul sand by cooking sand with soul fire.

FYI, you can throw 100+ stacks of sand in front of a soul fire fan and in 30 seconds it will all be soul sand. Infinite quartz. Create fans are op

That's how I went about it early game too. I'm probably not creative though because I'm always thinking "how can I get CREATE stuff going early and often!

He didnt look at the second page of the recipes. In this pack its possible with the 1x compressed obsidian on the bottom to make flux dust. U have the same bug i had, the aqueous accumulator doesnt show in JEI, while its in the pack. I think some other mods are fighting each other. Look at ur Thermal Machinery tab and see what u are missing. I think there are more machines missing becourse of that. I reinstalled the game without extra mod and it seems to be sovled. but it can also be a small bug they have to solve BTW to automate soul sand, look at the quest. they advice to get 1 soul sand through the witch water and then set up the bulk haunting from create. would go faster as the barrels. EMC - > blaze rod -> dont need to go to nether, get blaze rod through silent gear sword blueprint quest and emc it with the chest.

I think you can make Flux dust with x1 compressed obsidian as the bedrock block, there was a 2nd page to the dust crafting in world

I tried that but it didn't work. So I followed the tooltip and did it in The End. Fortunately I beat the dragon before they added in draconic evolution so it was an easy fight.

Phantoms won’t spawn if you move your base down under I think it is y 62. I usually build my base around y 50 on Skyblock for that reason.

It seems the star of the pack is Powah and AE2 this time, with Mystical Agriculture rewards being crazy and recently Draconic Evolution being added. Can't wait to see Dire's path and builds, let's see if he will make me break and rebuild my builds/farms for more efficient and stronger stuff and things :)

if you look up "splash" in the muffle thing, and disable them all, it will muffle the soul sand barrel sounds

Nonsanity made a dirt production with moss blocks automated in an energy condenser also used mob drop phantom that has an insane amount of emc

I mean the trader is usually useless, but the first one to spawn on my island had a looting V sword for me in this pack. He died mysteriously after I did the trade, but he wasn't completely useless. I think the llamas gave 16 leather with that looting V sword.....

I didn't have a bedrock on my Dire island. Had to do it on the portal in the End after defeating the dragon

The recipe is obsidian 1x, but he never checks page 2. He also needs to update the pack first.

The only one that has a bedrock block is the Anarchy island, he chose the Dire island. At least, I don't think the others have them, but I know the Dire one doesn't.

Make repair talisman from projectE. Unless they nerfed it, it does wonderful things, might actually even work on the ore doubling hammer but i am not sure about it. Still should work for compressed hammer and all the nice loot from apo bosses later on

It won’t work on anything that can’t be repaired. So the ore hammers nor the IE Engineer’s hammer won’t be repaired by it. That said, if you get it as soon as you can, you pretty much don’t have to worry about repairing your tools or armor

I prefer few items having EMC. Putting EMC on everything makes the pack trivial and there's no point in automating anything.

Dire, I believe the water sound is your helmet reactivating water breathing

The barrels have a bug with the sound of water, u cant muffle it. every time the barrel refills or converts or some thing, the sound will play at player position.

AE2 is faster processer wise, and it's recommended by the pack creator. Totally doable to use RS but I'm pretty sure will go AE2 this pack

its a bug in the barrels, cant muffle the sound and it will play at player position when some thing get converted.

Really nerfed Project E in this pack. I get why, resources become a non-issue when you get it going. However, I dont like it. The way it is in the pack makes me wonder why they put it in to begin with.

I thought Sky Block packs were supposed to be more of a challenge. It seems resources and progression is easier than main ATM9 pack.

It's not an expert pack. Recipes mostly are changed so that they work on a Skyblock map, but they are not harder per se. There also is no gating of mod progression, and the quests are not mandatory. It's basically an augmented kitchen sink pack in the sky. 😋

@@comgraphicsde You know you've been watching too much Dire when you use "per se" 😝. I never said it was an expert pack, i said more of a challenge. ATM9 main pack has building gadgets gated behind Allthemodium ore, and is harder to find the same volumes of regular ore, and I wonder why its not the case in this pack. It almost feels too streamlined.

I usually find Sky Block packs easier because you have complete control over mob spawns and early automation of resources.

The only serious road blocks are: -early grind, specially IRON and soon after GOLD.(never have enough). Until auto sieving. -The 3 allthemodium ores, just the first couple ones though, easy to automate passive ways soon after you get a block of each. -Finally dark matter recipe, and the even crazier red matter recipe with summoning altar. which has no easy way to passively get, only 1 way to get either. And I guess the ATM star which is just the "I won" item.

@direwolf20 you always go to laserIO no matter what other automation mod(s) are in the pack and honestly it is annoying, it seems like you don't care about other ways to automate thing unless it is with your own mod, which we have seen the last 3 skyblocks. do something different PLEASE.
