I had a minor organ complete failure which should have put me in a coma within 3 days and killed me in 14 days or less. I survived 56 weeks, suffering complete amnesia, the loss of the ability to read, write and eventually even talk, I went from weighing 13 stone, to almost starving to death, looking like I'd walked out of a concentration camp, because my body was completely incapable of processing food. I have sustained long term brain damage and possibly serious damage to my other organs which potentially could kill me at any time in the future. I suffered all of this because one doctor misdiagnosed me and refused to send me to hospital for further tests for a total of three years even after I begged them. That is one of the nicer things that has happened to me in the past decade. When you have spent a year without a complete set of functional vital organs, do let me know which plot you're buried in so I can dig you up and see if you have a pair left.

I pledge allegiant to myself, food shelter and health. Let me find a beach full of seashells to sell Put your oxygen mask on first, before you offer me help I’ve got receipts made of scar tissue. Got the vision of somebody going fishing in the dark When I start up the motor, it still turns over But Now a days, a little bit slower Never been afraid of getting older I’m much more nervous about these public servants Kill the lights and shut the curtains You ain’t a real lion if you love the circus Looking at myself like what’s the purpose? That’s when I started to hallucinate Trying to touch the surface and recuperate You should’ve seen the look on my face when I was losing my faith Ya’ll got me feeling hesitation, embarrassment I might be the last generation of grandparents I know that I’ve been fortunate for all the opportunities Disproportionally disappointed in the human beings I get it, we’re specs of dust, at the bus stop busking for extra crust Like fuck it, you can sacrifice me to the weather If you promise that you’ll let my songs live forever You lookin’ for a bag of tricks But my love is like a stack of bricks Cobblestones and untreated lumber I’m a father of fists, strength and numbers And when they come for my box of dreams I’m a finally depart this from toxic scene No posturing, just lots of self esteem Got you feelin’ like the popular queen This ain’t magic, this is fabric And it’s the type that never requires patches And it’s the fire that illustrates with ashes It’s our life, it’s nothing we can’t manage Lower the arrow, and take a breath I won’t waste ammo aiming at the angel of death I might have already left, but they hear me still With my pale knuckle grip on this steering wheel

The true measure of a human being is not based on the amount of adversity that you face or the amount of work that you have put in. It is now and always will be measured by the work you put in to overcome adversity Time After Time why never giving up what are dreams the passion it takes to get there. brother slug, this is a brilliant song of true reflection and awareness of your past present and future got Bronn a relative chill to my bones that I have not felt in too long. thank you brother for your truth, inspiration and constant progression to master your craft. Your a Legend slug. .. keep em comin
