Hahahaha. I don't get how anyone can dislike this. I saw Max once said that people hate on him for using loops sometimes, but he is freaking making every other sound from scratch!!! Give him a break. Besides, he always uses just a piece of the loop and makes it his own. His art is just amazing!!!

Great tutorial and project! This might just be the video that takes me away from the writer's block zone and inspire me to produce my own original tracks again instead of just remixing (which I love as well). Just looking at what you do I get ideas how to produce my own track in the same style, not a carbon copy of yours but with a similar feeling. There's too many tutorials focused on mixing compared to those focused on the production (actual playing/programming the track). I bet there are many others out there like me, that need inspiration and creativity input regarding the production side of things to actually finish own original tracks... Thanks!

Thanks Max for your awesome tutorial. For those finding out other awesome ways for Vocal Chops: Try to reverse an Acapella, apply something like Dblue Glitch, and use for example only the Gater option, and a lot of delay and reverb to get it more on the background!

+TADENTA No unless you give away the track for free, you cant sign another vocal without the permission of the original artist/label. You can chop it up and use it in a track if its not too obvious.

Is there a benefit to using Grossbeat for the sidechain rather than just using a limiter and sidechaining from a ghost kick?
@MaxBraiman9 жыл бұрын
+jacobisalemonDnB Its faster to apply and it removes that nasty sidechain clicking sound you get from a compressor. The only time I would use the ghost kick method is if I want to make intricate sidechain patterns (seven lions type stuff). Grossbeat is stuck on a 4x4 sidechain and you have to automate it to turn it off.
@eriklucasmusic9 жыл бұрын
Gross beat is easier and faster, but less versatile.
@TranceCore39 жыл бұрын
+jacobisalemonDnB It's on the fly. Literally open it, click side chain and you're done. But you can hone in on the graph to make it a tighter or looser ducking effect.
@tecnosinemusic9 жыл бұрын
+Max Braiman Now that's something I've wondered as well. Thanks for clearing that up! I might switch to using that from now on. May help my tracks sound a bit better
