Love it love it love it!! Thanks Karen! I can always rely on you to freshen up my painting and inspire me to loosen things up and take on a new or more abstract approach to my work and I love it. I’m actually going to use one of my a5 watercolour sketchbooks purely for loose sea/landscapes inspired by you ❤ love everything you do ❤

I love this demo in your sketch book. I was wondering how you transfer this technique to a larger size paper.. I seem to do small paintings that I like, but have trouble taking that to a large format.

May I ask about the brown tape. I have a large roll of it, but I can't remember how to use it. I did a watercolour class years ago and I'm only getting back to doing watercolours again
@KarenRiceArt11 ай бұрын
This is Brown framing tape, not the gummed tape that you use to stretch watercolour paper. Framing tape is a little like masking tape. It is a little kinder to the watercolour paper and does not seem to tear the paper.

Brown gummed paper is a no no for me,it has to be masking tape if you want a nice clean border with no tears .i only use gummy brown tape when stretching my paper .
@KarenRiceArt11 ай бұрын
Hi, sorry for any confusion. The brown tape is framing tape and not gummed tape. Framing tape is just like masking tape but it is a little bit kinder on watercolour paper. Hope this is helpful 😊
