There’s a lot of communities here in America that have contaminated water… this definitely will help them. For 3k… initially it’s expensive but over time I think it will pay itself off but most importantly provide healthy drinking water

If there is contaminated water in the reservoirs, then the water collected by this type of machine is going to be pulling the water from the same source as the water being evaporated in the contaminated reservoirs, so there won't be much difference. If you have a green house that has a dirty water pool and that evaporates, wouldn't the water that comes down be more or less the same? Trying to get water from underground would yield the same results, especially if the waste water is mixing with the water being pumped up. The cost of filters would also be quite a bit. Seems to me that the best option is to have the water brought in from a place where it is cleaner, otherwise, you end up with water being caught in a dirty cycle, much like they have in numerous places in Africa.

You should use the water filtration basket you took out. put about six silver coins in it, this will further purify your wire as silver is 100% antibacterial and destroys bacteria on contact. Food for thought hope this helps.

I collect water from my central air conditioner drip pipe, I then store in 1 gallon clear non BPA water jugs. I have a drip water filtration setup using ceramic filter candles that filter any pathogens and chemicals that may be present in this water before drinking…

It's a great idea of water generator. I measured water amount condensed from air by my air conditioners. At air temp 30 degree and humidity 44%, it was 1,026 ml/hr by 0.6Kw machine and 1,920 ml/hr by 1.3Kw (compressor power capacity). I wish you would be good successor for water generator. Making a high humidity may be a key point of water amount without boiling.

Curious, would you take it fully apart? I'm curious what technologies they used. Whether they used TEC/compressor. I'm assuming compressor as that would be more energy efficienct. I'm also curious if they routed the output water through a radiator, and used solenoids to cause different temps. Or if they use TEC instead. With the cooling/heating more over time, I'm assuming it's not doing it to the entire jug but a small reservoir?

@@isshintakaoka8345 my curiosity had more to do with temperature of the water. It's no surprise this is a glorified dehumidifier. I could assume they used the hot/cold rads for heating/ cooling the water. But it might cause collecting the water to be slower since there be less of a temp differential. - I don't think they'd use a compressor system, just to heat/chill the water. So my assumption is they used a TEC to heat / chill the water. Since they are a lot smaller. The only problem with those, is they use a crapload of energy. But overall, it might be better efficiency than storing the water for long durations.

How would that work in an air conditioned space?
@theshowerheadstore
@theshowerheadstore Жыл бұрын
In an air-conditioned space, the generator would still function by utilizing the humidity present in the indoor air. The air conditioning system would not hinder its operation.

@jdmather5755

Put down your hand - you haven’t done your homework. An air conditioner does exactly the same thing - dehumidifies air. So there would, obviously, be less water in the conditioned air for your expensive device to extract. This is pretty basic science.
@theshowerheadstore
@theshowerheadstore Жыл бұрын
@@jdmather5755 Thanks for your feedback. You are correct and I may have misunderstood the question. Ideally, one would want to add these to a humid area. While this may not have functions specifically designed for air conditions spaces, it's important to note that AWGs can vary in design and capabilities. Some advanced models may be equipped with built-in dehumidification functions or may be specifically designed to work in air-conditioned environments. I would recommend contacting AirRiver for further information.
@theshowerheadstore
@theshowerheadstore Жыл бұрын
Hi Don, the efficiency of an AWG in an air-conditioned space depends on several factors, including the humidity levels and temperature set by the air conditioning system. If the air conditioner is set to low humidity and operates at a lower temperature, it can potentially decrease the amount of water vapor available for the AWG to extract.
