Omgosh, my mouth is watering! I know how good that tastes. There is nothing like Avena made this way. I know my Mom use to make another Corn Starch hot cereal when I was very little. I just lost her a year ago at 100 years old and I am definitely not the a cook at all so I really enjoy watching you. Con mucho Sabor! Thank you for all of your recipes. I love it all.

Oh, Miss Rachel, this recipe reminded me of my mother. She started her recipe like yours but would finish it by adding evaporated milk. Either carnation or pet milk. But it was delicious on a cold morning. Thanks for sharing and for bringing back the memories. God bless you always❤️🙏

My beautiful mommy, Rest her soul used to make it. It would smell divine. My daughter asked me not too long ago if I knew how to make it. I said no. But now I do thanks to you. What I do remember is my mom used to use what was called "Pet Milk", very thick, very rich...soooo good. She also used to make something similar using rice instead of oats.

Thank you for the video and recipe! I love oatmeal in any form. When I make oatmeal porridge, I love to add cinnamon as well, but I add in loads of raisins, toasted nuts, diced apple bites and a drizzle of maple syrup. Of course I have milk and some brown sugar too. No matter how we fixed it, oatmeal was always a favorite warming meal. Your oatmeal sounds divine.
