It's not the friction that generates heat during reentry, it's shock heating. In essence, air molecules don't have enough time to get out of the way of incoming object, and thus get hot due to compression (like in a bicycle pump)

Very well and detailed video. You only showed a ground burst explosion. Next time, can you show the effects of an airburst explosion and the best places to shelter for both types of explosions? Additionally, can you explain how to manage to survive for a long period of time with an ongoing nuclear winter? Thanks.

The nuclear winter effects here are a bit exaggerated. It would be bad, sure. It just wouldn't be as bad as described here.

About 70% of population would be able to live a normal live. This video makes it sound like we all die like the dinosaurs. Even if we detonate all 12k warheads, people in remote areas wouldn't even know it.

Not to mention the effects of nuclear winter are widely accepted to have been exaggerated even when the ongoing nuclear weapons doctrine involved extremely powerful explosions, of several megatons. Most atom bombs these days rarely go above 1-2Mt due to fuel and weight efficiency, so the atmospheric dust would be even more minimal
