I've spent my life in Los Angeles. From the time I was 7 or 8 years old, we were told about the coming of the "Big One" (earthquake). Even living through countless earthquakes in 53 years, the Big One hasn't happened. Thank GOD for climate change. Otherwise, we wouldn't be here right now. "How dare you!" stomps the screaming child in the corner, born yesterday. "Oooo shiny!" scream the voters. "Hmm.. there's money to be made here!" scream the politicians. This stupid Doomsday Clock has been there my entire life. It only appears when liberal scientists don't get their way. As to Mike's point about the African nations, it seems to me they have unlimited financial resources from China. I think Europe should also take note.

Fun fact about today's climate: While California was getting wildfires I was on the other side of the country in South Carolina, just a few miles from the beach, getting 6 inches of snow. If you've ever visited South Carolina you know how ridiculous the idea is for it to get snow, let alone 5-6 inches. Edit: Just looked it up, it was the most snowfall we've had since 1989.
@catcountry00992 күн бұрын
How is a rare event of snow considered climate change?
@JacketisRichard2 күн бұрын

Most people just don't give a shit about climate change or nuclear war. People just want to get on with their day to day lives. Climate change is an issue, I get that, but we have our own problems to deal with. It's probably the last thing on my mind 😄
@user-wr9ej6xe4j2 күн бұрын
Agree. China and India are the main countries causing it, and they do NOTHING to reduce it while we all have to hear a bunch of people on our side of the world constantly whining and crying about what WE should do.

According to recent surveys, around two-thirds of Americans express concern about climate change, with a significant portion (around 60%) stating they worry "a great deal" or "a fair amount" about it; this means a majority of Americans consider climate change a significant issue. Source: Google AI
