10 months ago, on this page, I wrote I had a really bad day, and that the only thing that made me stand up was listening to this song. Today, I had an even worse day, something I'd never think would be possible. Look what happens: first thing I do is open youtube and look for this video, as much as many other Amorphis videos. Seems like their music can cure my soul! The smoke might follow me, but I see yellow flowers ahead.

Regarding the growls..either you feel it or you don't ! Personally, I feel the powerful growls gives contrast to the clean vox and melody..and it works! Amorphis can pull it off. Opeth is another band that does it so well.

First time listening to Amorphis and I just sat here and stared at the screen with my mouth hanging open listening because I was so transfixed on this song. I normally don't like grunts or anything like that but they wove so seamlessly into this song that I actually loved them. The guitar and tune are epic and his voice is great, the whole song is just great with no visible flaw in my opinion.

After Far From The Sun was released and the band toured Europe, Pasi Koskinen exited and Tomi Joutsen (Sinisthra) was picked as his replacement after hundreds of demos were reviewed. With a new singer and new energy, the band toured North America to show off Joutsen and sound the alarm that a new era in the band had begun.

Agreed! The metal musicians are truly in love with music. The fact that they don't care too much of earning money confirms it. It's like when you're really in love with someone: you don't seek mere personal satisfaction: you feel happy when you manage to give happiness to your beloved.

Amorphis is very interesting band for me. When I heard their songs for the first time thought this cannot be a metal band. Yes, sometimes there is a deep and brutal sound of frontman's voice, othervise generally these songs are very melodic and the sound is...light. I'm very glad that this year they will be on Masters of rock festival. METAL FOREVER!!!

I'm here in Budapest, Hungary untill late december...I've never heard of this band before...I was just checking out a Rock clubs website here in Budapest, called Diesel, because WASP is gonna play there on Dec. 3rd. and I'm definately going 2 that one.
