Also, be sure to hold a bit of elevator while taking off and landing on water. Don't want to dip a tip. I would highly recommend practicing los first so you can watch how the plane is behaving at speed.

My brother in law lands his full sized Cessna and Beaver with floats on grass in the fall when he hangars them for winter and maintenance. In the spring, he loads them on a trailer and takes off being towed by a pickup.

Nice build! I'd probably run autotune and autolevel again with the floats attached. Looks like it's flying good, though

I didn't need to. It flies great in all 3 stabilized modes. I also fly my planes mostly in Manual mode and this plane with the float kit still flies great.

Nice takeoff on grass. I have 2 sets same floats and they are great. My fav model airplane sport is takeoff's & landings on water - could do it all day! BTW-RotoFlex is ahead--need a mechanic? 🙃

Sorry I didn't get back to you, I had minor surgery a couple weeks ago, plus my real job and family stuff. I get tons of comments everyday and I try to get to them all but sometimes I miss them. I do this KZbin thing for fun and as soon as it turns into a job which doesn't pay, I am calling it quits. I'm not charging anyone money to watch these videos and I'm not anyone's personal, on call 24/7 technician. Now as far as thrust angles go, the only time I have ever messed with it was this twin dolphin. For a regular dolphin I just use the stock setup.

I did the exact same thing with INav reseting values when i was setting up differential thrust on my atomRC penguin. Turn out thats normal default behavior. I flew for 4 seconds then smashed into the ground. Happens to the best of us. Great content keep em coming.

The mixer situation is a bit of a drag. I have quite a bit going on in my mixer 😅. Could try some low profile skis for grass and snow.

Jeff forget about float flying as you have more important matters with trying to beat Rotor-Flex top speed on the tube! It seames that you’ve given up the ghost and conceded That Rotor-Flex does have the fastest dolphin on the tube, the challenge is still there!👎👎👎👎👎

I placed an order with Summit racing a couple of days ago and a bigger turbo, head studs and 2 step have been ordered. Purple Drink will be at MAX BALD EAGLE power! RotorFlex is going down.
