This is excellent footage. I just posted my footage from Downtown San Antonio that I made with my Phantom 3 Advanced. I liked yours much better though! I hope you do more!

+Texas Dave Thanks for the kudos. I recently did a couple of downtown short b-rolls with the Inspire. Your footage looks great as well. Love the new drones' abilities. Looking forward to seeing more by all.

AVD, Awesome Job!!! We live in San Antonio and have a series called Van Time with Chuck and Deb on KZbin. I'm looking for B-Roll for our videos. Can I use parts of your videos if we acknowledge your work and provide a link to your videos

Thanks for the kudos. I recently opened a new business: White Cloud Drones (whiteclouddrones.com) and have transferred all rights of my footage there. Email me at adam@whiteclouddrones.com and we can coordinate what footage you need. Thanks!

What kind of a permit do you have to fly over 400 feet high? I believe the tower is 750 feet high.
@AtomVanDoos9 жыл бұрын
First, you have to contact the police department's helicopter "department" to gain clearance. Then you have to make sure you have proper licensure (such as the one from the AMA-Academy of Model Aeronautics) to show that you are a competent and able pilot. Then... you may want to notify someone of the Tower that you're flying around so no one gets spooked seeing a drone hovering around. Communication is key. However I won't be able to do this anymore now that the regulations are being pushed through here in TX, that no one is allowed to fly over 400' anywhere...regardless of what license you have or who you've talked to.

I've been trying to find rules/regs on drone flight in texas... Can you link me to what you use?
@dashcamfun75508 жыл бұрын
Chris C for night flights you need FAA approved lights for your aircraft. And the rest should be easily found on FAA page for drones.

Where is the 2018, 2019 San Antonio downtown video. 2015 was way back then.
@WhiteCloudMG6 жыл бұрын
Actually, AVD was acquired by White Cloud Drones & White Cloud Media Group in 2016. All aerial related shoots/footage are performed by us now. There will be a 2019 San Antonio Aerial Tour coming that will be a version of this (but with better camera and editing quality).

Did you use the built-in camera on the P2+. or a GoPro?
@AtomVanDoos9 жыл бұрын
I used the P2+ camera. I had just lost my P1 with GoPro 3+ and I was frustrated and didn't know what to invest in, hence this decision. The P2+ video camera doesn't compare to the GoPro 3 or 4, however the camera/photo control is nice. You'll notice that I had to do a lot of post-edit to really clean up the color balance. I still have a lot to learn.

Atom Van Doos That's really impressive, I wouldn't have guessed. What happened to your P1?
@AtomVanDoos9 жыл бұрын
Shep McAllister I was doing some aerial photography at Northwest Vista College last August and I had left my P1 and batteries in my car for a long time...The heat completely zapped my battery and died in midflight. NVC has a strict policy on not allowing anyone in the lake, thus my donation to the school is still at the bottom of the lake. The smart battery function is nice to have on the new drones.
