Holy hell! I saw this as a really little kid on cable and could only remember a guy dressed as a barbarian fighting a giant spider on some temple steps. For years, it has been that movie for me that you have feverdream memories of but don’t know the name. Thank you very much for closing out this lifetime mystery for me!

Oh wow!! This is one of my FAVORITE bad flicks! Once I started staying up late by myself in middle school, this was just about the first cheese fest I watched. I loved the sword & sorcery/Conan knock-off movies, but even my middle school excitement couldn't fool me into thinking this was a good flick. It was such an absolute stinker, but what a fun stinker it was! Thanks for exhuming, er, spotlighting such an important movie for me!

Can't go wrong with D'amato!!! Btw the spider king was Dakkar (his real name), the dude named Lucas from Fulci's Zombie. He was a musician and pro wrestler as well. He passed away in 2007.

I found out there's actually 4 Ator movies. A whole goddamn franchise. Some of them got released under 2 or 3 different titles, but there's: 1. "Ator the Fighting Eagle", aka "Ator the Invincible" 2. "Ator 2: the Invincible Orion", aka "The Blade Master", aka "Cave Dwellers" 3. "The Iron Warrior" 4. "Ator III [sic]: The Hobgoblin", aka "Hobgoblin", aka "Quest For the Mighty Sword"

I remembered seeing this some time in the mid 80s when it aired on NBC television was limited at the time before cable in northern California Sacramento and VCR there was at least 9 or 10 channels i knew it was a knock off but i didn't know from where this introduced me to the beautiful Sabrina Siani know as the Italian Brooke Shields also other Italian knock off Blue Island and White Cannibal Queen when she was around 17rs old

This lovely slice of mostly family friendly action/fantasy was on ye old premium television and i remember my younger self enjoying it. Conan has inspired a lot of so bad it's good movies and television series, this one is low tier, but is watchable for it's silliness. It's fun to check out G and PG rated films by directors known for sleaze and or violence (D'Amato, Peter Jackson, George Miller, etc).
