One of my favorite parts of his offense is that all the motion creates leverage for offensive rebounds. It looks like hustle is greatly rewarded in Pope's style. It's really concepts more than set plays. Motion and effort are rewarded. I like it.

Very pleased with everything Pope has done since he started. The SEC is tough this year, but I think this team might give Bama a run if they continue to meld. Pope is a fantastic coach and we have been missing that.

People like to ignore the fact that Pope got a win over Kansas last year with a BYU roster. This roster is arguably more talented with much more depth. I'm excited for basketball season for the first time in 10 years. Its a damn good feeling.

I think Cal resented having to play Reed. Seemed like Jeff's relationship with Mitch was the only reason Reed got an offer. Then he proved Cal wrong by being the best player on the team. So Cal packed up DJ and went elsewhere.

They handled their business. something Cal had been failing at for a while with all his raw talent players. We have 3 freshman that will be there next year instead of being pushed out the door for the next class of "superstars". It feels good to have the program back, instead of the NBA training camp that Cal expected BBN to blindly support.

I feel like exhibitions are hit or miss. They can help for training but nothing helps for mentality when there are high stakes. I've seen teams lose all the exhibitions, then the pressure of the actual season makes them take it seriously and win. That is what needs to happen for both U of L and UK to prove these trainings weren't for nothing

I hate it when ppl say nobody expected reed Sheppard to be as hood as he was, because thats not true at all. Only ppl who dont what a good player looks like and just parrots what espn and other big name outlets are saying. I said from the start. Reed would be uks best player. It only took cal most if the season to realize he was better than wagner. So mark these words by the end if the season we re gonna be talking about chandler and otega going yo the draft.

@@br581 Kentucky Weslyan has won a ton of Div 2 titles and is a solid basketball team and Kentucky destroyed them by 71 hitting 21 threes on 32 assist with only 5 turnovers, this video is Torres talking about them being extremely under rated as the National media has them at 23rd in the polls, Torres has them around 13th or 14th and rightfully so, they should be higher than that! Kentucky landed a Rick Pitino protege, Pitinos Kentucky teams in the 90's destroyed everyone and everything. Coach Pope first team of 12 players who have never played together came in on their first chance to play against another team and ran the team off the court looking errily similar to those Pitino teams and Kentucky fans have been waiting for this for awhile, so to see you here crying about it literally thrills me to death!! Thanks for sweating us the way you all do! 😂😂
