I went to an audio store couple years ago and they told me it wasnt recomendable to change the stereo for my mks 2009. You think this should work?

Very impressive installation. One dumb question however, am I correct in assuming that the volume controls on the steering wheel no longer work? Also the steering wheel receive call function ? The gap at the back of the unit and a holder for the usb could be sorted with a 3D printed plastic shroud. That is why you should always have a friend with a 3D printer looking for opportunities to justify the expense. 😊

Yes, unfortunately I can’t use the steering wheel control, unless I buy another module and maybe I will do that one day. Not because I need them, but because it will drive me crazy that something in the car is not working 😂 I don’t need a 3D printer for those little gaps, I build limousines for a living :) I 3D print my parts by hand 😂 All I need is time….
