*OMFG Loss of Penile Length NOOOO!* Hopefully this message will help ease the minds of any men facing the same concerns I Faced. I had stage 2 Prostate Cancer. I ended up opting for (Nerve Sparing) Robotic Assisted, Radical Prostatectomy and had the Surgery December 10, 2019. *I was really worried about the idea of penile length reduction* as probably most men are. I mean dude... Even the gifted fellas with a bit extra downstairs can relate to the old adage "Take my foot, take my hand, but stay away from my Jolly Roger!" I went as far as far as recording preoperative and then multiple post operative flaccid and erect pictures and measurements lol... Yes... Yes I Did. I even had my wife double check my measurements for accuracy, which was quite fun for her as you can probably imagine. First: the RP doesn't affect the flaccid or erect girth at all from everything I've read, asked about and observed in my own year *LONG* study, so that's one less worry you should have. Second: The penile length loss I have observed was nothing like I had imagined. Being generous with the measurement and rounding up, my penile length loss was a less than 1/2 inch its closer to 3/8 of an inch but like I said i'm being generous. Here's the best news, my erect length and girth are exactly as they were when I recorded my pre-operative measurements Which my surgeon said is normal, so the length loss is only detectable while flaccid (Thank You God and I promise to be good from now on.) I did notice something interesting though... I don't know if this is due to the RP, but you know how post ejaculation your "Lizard King" becomes really sensitive and you have to stop? Well I noticed a difference in the sensation of orgasm... It's About 25% better, deeper & More prolonged as well. plus I discovered that I can Keep going without having to stop. It's crazy I can literally keep going and have orgasm after orgasm 5 to 7 minutes apart until i collapse from sheer exhaustion or my wife calls the game on the count of ... Chaffing. I wonder if this new orgasm surfing is what women feel... Anyways, like I said I am continuing to measure and monitor my life post RP if there is anything to report I most certainly will do so with a quickness. Third & Final: Its been a year already and the only size difference is the aforementioned flaccid less than 1/2 inch that I mentioned before so I'm glad that I overestimated the length of the problem... Yeah Anyways *breath easy my fellow men, your "Trojan Horse" will arise to conquer another kingdom in no time, or ride back to Camelot as I did.* Either way is good. *Addendum: If the pills aren't cutting it for you, the Injection is AWESOME (and it really doesn't hurt) 3 Hours of Towering Rock Hard OMG it's insane* Much Love, Best Fortune and God Bless Y'all!!!

Victoria thanks for your help but you've only outlined steps to increase blood flow. What specifically can we do to help restore and rebuild damaged nerves?

I had robotic radical prostatectomy surgery in May of 2019, so I'm almost at the 2 year mark. First, foremost and most importantly, I remain cancer free, thank God. We're all different ,so the side effects I'm experiencing, may not affect all men; also, a huge part of the equation is the surgeon's skills. Prior to surgery, on a scale of 1 to 10, sexual function-wise, I was a solid 9, (at 58 y/o). What was disappointing, regarding my urologist, was that reduction of penis size was never discussed, and I was not aware of this potential side effect; I lost between 1/2"-3/4" when erect; less noticeable when flaccid. Although I didn't have girth measurements before surgery, I can tell that there was also some loss of girth. In addition, as our host mentioned in the video, I developed Peyronies disease, (about a 30 degree, downward curvature), and this was shocking and more devastating than the loss of size. It's as if someone else's penis was implanted during surgery. No thanks to my urologist, I explored the internet and came across a traction device, developed by an M.D., called RestoreX and I purchased one. It's supposed to help with both, regaining some lost length and it also helps correct the curvature. Even though I haven't used it as often as recommended, it has helped quite a bit with the curvature. I have also employed a vacuum pump, but I probably should use it more often as well. I've always been a slow healer so I'm hopeful that, even after 2 years, my body still has more healing to do. What I recommend is an anti-inflammatory diet, exercise, supplements like Acetyl L- Carnitine with Alpha Lipoic Acid, use of viagra/cialis, vacuum pump and masturbation. I've yet to try the injections, but may give them a try, depending on my progress. If you happen to be one of the unlucky ones with this diagnosis and are opting for surgery, I highly recommend you look up Dr. Thomas Ahlering from UCI medical Center in Irvine, California. Due to insurance reasons, I was unable to have him perform my surgery but I have a few friends who have, and they're all doing much better than average with minimal side effects. Hope this information helps and thanks to our host for excellent information!

Thank you for your advice. I am one year in to my new life without my Prostate. I am 99% 'leak-free' but there is no 'movement' below. At 73 it doesn't concern me as the cancer has gone, but it would be nice if it could come back. However..it's not the end of the world.

Great isn’t it, after being boasted to about “nerve sparing surgery” results, suddenly you are informed you now unfortunately have that common old man problem ED, (nothing to do with the surgery lies) and you are shunted off to a different specialist.

Thank you for the very informative video. Instead of the getting the prostatectomy I had the cryo-surgery done where they freeze the prostate to destroy the cancer cells but it also destroys the prostate itself. From what I have read and was told by my urologist was that the freezing can sometimes severely damage the nerves around the prostate causing 100% ED. It's been a year now since my cryo-surgery and I cannot get any erections at all. I am going to try your tips for penile recovery and hopefully things will improve for me.

I had a nerve sparing Prostatectomy in Jan 2019 and my urologist recommended the Tri-mex injections and I filed the prescription but only was able to do 4 or 5 injections. I hate needles so much and my penis seems so much smaller now which makes the needle look even bigger. My question is, have I waited too long? I just ordered an auto injector and hope it will help me. You mentioned at the end that you saw a few men that had done nothing for two years, were they able to start therapy and regain function?
@ATouchySubject5 жыл бұрын
Thank you for sharing your experience, George. I can imagine the injections would be very difficult given that you hate needles, I also hope using the auto-injector helps circumvent this. You might want to consider speaking to your urologist about the other options mentioned in the video so that you have other ways of inducing blood flow regularly. I have seen men who started to use erection aids after years of not having erections and with trial and error they are usually able to find a method to have an erection when they want one. In terms of regaining spontaneous function however, that is not a simple question to answer I’m afraid. There are many factors influencing both penile tissue health and then spontaneous erection function, many of which we are still learning about. As far as I am aware, there is no guideline saying that unless rehab activity begins within x amount of time then there is no chance the penis can become erect again spontaneously if the nerves recover (and please keep in mind, nerve recovery can take 2 years < and is a big factor in spontaneous function). The guiding principle is simply to do something positive regularly towards keeping blood moving through the penis (like used to happen with nocturnal erections) in order to avoid penile tissue changes such as fibrosis. You are currently taking steps towards making this happen using the injection method. If you are worried that you are experiencing changes to the penis tissue structure then I recommend making an appointment with your urologist. Thank you for your question, I know this is one many other men will have on their minds.

The vacuum device only pulls venous blood back in. This may help with some aspects. However, increasing arterial blood flow requires pde5 inhibitor medications or injections. Generally, good information on this channel.

49 had removal of my prostate, at the time i had average performance when it came to maintaining firmness , overall health was average, 2 years later im getting some return to normal use , i started masterbation about 1 month after surgery, i was usable to be with my wife and still struggle in that department due to a few embarrassing encounters but hope to change that in the near future.

Let see if I can explain my situation. I was on TRT (Testosterone Replacement Therapy) for 4 years before my PSA raised above 4.0 (6.2) and I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. 2 injections of Lupron were administrated (one in January 2018 and another one in July same year). Then I have a prostatectomy on September 2018. Up to now my PSA have remain undetectable. That's very important to me and I thanks God for it. It has been 22 months and pills doesn't have work. Trimix injection works up to around 25% probably more but not enough to go on penetration. I'm working on it. Also I'm using a vacuum and with it I can do it. I have reached orgasm. Also my testosterone is way low. What can I do?
