I have been informed that the Delphi is most certainly out of print, so for those of you who'd like to see every card before shelling out big clams to purchase it, I'll do a video to showcase it because I don't think I've ever done one for it.

Oh no. the Tarot of Delphi is very much NOT in print! But it is in demand, and it goes for a pretty penny. Lovely to see it! I so wish I had a copy, because I think it is so beautiful, but I don't think I can afford it at the prices it is going for! It's a unicorn deck for me. The original Rolla Nordic looks really nice. I would have to save up to get it, but I do have the cute little "Inversion Tarot in a tin" by U.S. Games, which is, I think, a slightly modified vector-based line tracing of this deck but inverted black and white. Amazon says "Inversion Tarot is based on and inspired by the mid-century artwork originally created in 1960 by Paul Mathison for the Rolla Nordic Tarot. This deck follows the ancient Marseille tarot tradition. The updated images have been inverted and refined with interesting new details and decorative elements brought into focus for a striking, contemporary deck."

@nmw-sweet Oh dear, the Delphi out of print? I hadn't realized. Maybe I'll do a thorough run through for anyone who'd like to see all the images before they shell out any clams. Thank you for letting me know. Yes, the Inversion Tarot is roughly based on the Rola Nordic. (At some point I did do a comparison between the two decks. I've put it in the description area of this video for you. The Inversion switched Fortitude and Judgment, so there's that. 😖 Thank you for watching and commenting. Hi, Marilyn! I'm still watching the video but I want to comment before I forget my though :: It looks like the Symbolon deck is an astrological deck, more specifically, decan work. That is why there is some similarities to the tarot. I believe it was the Golden Dawn (it could have been before though) who started the associating the pips with decans.

@@dezarey Ahh! Thank you for explaining this! I have no idea what to do with this deck, so on the rare occasions that I've used it, I just used it as an oracle. But since tarot is my preferred method, once the novelty of an unusual deck wears off for me, I go right back to my beloved tarot decks. I have 1 AGMuller deck, TdM Convos. It's from 1999. I bought it second hand. It's like new. I don't know the usage it got before I bought it but I use it weekly and it still seems like it just came out of the plastic.

@@dezarey That's great to know! Cardstock is so important and frequently unknowable before purchasing, unless others share that information. Thank you! The AGM decks I have are also very nice.

The Symbolon cards are definitely not a Tarot or oracle deck. I know this because I learned how to read them directly from one of the creators. The cards may not be old as they were made in 1993 but astrology itself is at least 5000 years old. These cards are as you said astrological and depict the 12 zodiac signs (the "Major Arcana") and all of their 66 combinations (the "Minor Arcana"). Interestingly, together they make up 78 cards like Tarot. You can use them to deepen astrological wisdom, to look up astrological themes and topics or to ask questions about your life situations and soul. They are not intended for classical divination like past, present, future. Like in birth charts, they are used to understand our inner persons (because we are made of different and often contradictory soul parts). You ask questions (never yes/no questions or "why is that") and if you don't have a specific question you can go with "What is currently my duty?". The basic and very helpful spread is the five card-spread: Card nr 1 is the problem/lesson, card nr 2 is the next step, card nr 3 is our ressources (for the solution), card nr 4 is the or a possible blockage and card nr 5 is the outcome/what we will have learned. Another useful way is to ask questions like "Which inner person wants a relationship, which inner person doesn't want a relationship?" and then go forward with the next step, ressources etc. They can also be used for Systemic/Family Constellations. Personally I am so grateful to have studied these cards as I love and practice Tarot/cartomancy and astrology. These cards are a true blessing if you know their levels of meaning. The thing is, I was lucky to study them because I live in a German speaking country and the creators of Symbolon are German and only teach in our language. I don't even know how many of their books were translated in other languages.
